October 12 vote: Tchiroma tells supporters in Buea, time to write new chapter is now.

Issa Tchiroma addressing party faithful in Buea

Issa Tchiroma Bakery, candidate of the Cameroon National Salvation Front, FSNC, for the October 12 presidential election has told supporters that it is time to write a new history of leadership in Cameroon.

He was speaking Sunday 5 October while addressing supporters at a campaign rally in Buea.

Tchiroma was in the South West Region to rally and motivate his militants and people to vote for him.

Addressing cheering crowds under the rains, Tchiroma said it is time to write a new chapter in Cameroon’s history.

“…you are my allies and with you, we are going to write a new chapter and make our nation worthy of us. Cameroon is a laughing object in the world because of the failure of leadership, but this is our chance to change everything,” he said.

He told the cheering crowd that he decided to run for the presidency because of the plight of the Cameroonian youths.

“…because of the youth my heart is bleeding. My mind is obsessed and my soul is confined to see my young compatriots hopeless because our nation is at the brink of collapse. You have PhDs yet end up as taxi drivers, bike riders,” he stated.

The miserable life of many young people, he said, had forced some to take difficult journeys through the dangerous seas, deserts and forests where the likelihood of dying is high.

He said the only way out is for citizens to vote for him to put an end to the CPDM’s long stay in power. Tchiroma decried the fact that the CPDM has mismanaged a country blessed with many natural resources: oil, diamond, gold, bauxite and many others. Tchiroma said the mismanagement and pillaging of the State is unacceptable.

“There is something wrong, those at the helm of our nation today have failed us because of their short-sightedness and misunderstanding of what life is,” the former minister stated.

In this light, he said, the task of removing the entrenched CPDM was possible when everyone plays his or her role to save our country.

“All of us have a role to play especially the youths because nobody from abroad can come and help you to solve your problems,” he said.

Vote for change

He argued that Biya and the CPDM have plunged Cameroon into misery. Tchiroma said the ballot presented the best chance for voters to make their frustrations known to the powers in place.

“I trust you and count on you because you have to make the difference. All Cameroonians are fade up with the CPDM and you cannot be fade up and vote for the cause of you being fade up,” he stated.

‘We’ll not accept any results different from that from the ballot box’

He stressed that, the Cameroonian people will not accept any result different from the one that will come from the ballot box.

Thus with a few days to the election, he implored all present to collect their voter cards and plant a seed for positive change.

On the day of the vote, he encouraged people to not only vote, but also return later during the day to protect their votes. “From 2:00 P.M. all of you must go back to the polling stations because the ballot stuffing takes place from 2 to 6 P.M.”

Pledges to forgive, build unity

Tchiroma promised that he would forgive and pardon excesses of the current regime to promote national unity. “We are ready to forgive and pardon because after 43 years of failure, seven more years will be a catastrophe,” he stated.

He insisted that a new day was around the corner if everyone believes and casts their vote for him.

“12 October 2025 is a unique opportunity we have to write a new chapter to allow a new son to arise in this nation to address and resolve the issues facing us. If we do not do it, the next opportunity may come after 20 years,” the FSNC candidate declared.
