Senator Nfon Mukete tells population: Vote Biya if you love Kumba.

The Nfon of Kumba and the Paramount Ruler of the Bafaw, Senator Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, has urged the population of the Green City to massively vote and renew President Biya’s mandate at the helm of the State, if they love and have the town at heart.

The respected Monarch made the declaration during a series of strategic meetings he held with the population of the town, while canvassing votes for the candidate of the ruling CPDM party.

The traditional ruler delivered the message at separate meetings with all 60 Quarter Heads of Kumba and their wives, a cross section of the population, representatives of commercial motorbike riders, taxi drivers’ unions and others, at the West Wing of his palace.

Nfon Mukete IV, who is CPDM South West Regional campaign Coordinator, was clear that the October 12 poll is strategic and the people of Kumba must not make any mistake in contributing massively to the landslide victory of President Biya.

In the separate meetings, the Nfon re-echoed the message for all and sundry to rally behind the incumbent Head of State.

The executives of Kumba Taxi Drivers’ Union, Kumba Bike Riders’ Union, and Kumba Transporters’ Union, who met with Senator Nfon Mukete, at his palace yesterday, showed their solidarity with the South West CPDM Campaign Coordinator.

They told the traditional ruler that they were rallying behind him as their leader to support the CPDM national “champion,” President Biya, in the October 12 poll.

They declared their unwavering support for the incumbent President Biya and the CPDM party with such passion only matching that of the Nfon himself.

The atmosphere was ecstatic as the Paramount Nfon reminded them of several reasons why they must not “make erreur” and waste their votes by voting for any other candidate.

They assured the Nfon that he can count on their unequivocal support to give President Biya a landslide victory in the upcoming election.

They also unveiled several activities and tasks their unions have already carried out to this end and some that they have planned to continue doing, until the end of the October 12 election. The gathering ended with prayer and a euphoric fellowship with assorted drinks to quench their thirsts.

Nfon rallies Quarter Heads

To better get his message to all the nooks and crannies of Kumba, Nfon Mukete IV rallied all the 60 Quarter Heads of Kumba and their wives, during which he underscored the need for them to work towards giving the CPDM candidate an overwhelming victory, come October 12. The meeting took place at the Nfon’s palace on September 30, 2025.

He urged the Quarter Heads to carry the message to their various neighbourhoods, under the door-to-door campaign strategy, as defined by party hierarchy.

Senator Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko also told them to be reassured that the Head of State, President Paul Biya, will not forget their kindness.

Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko described the choice of President Paul Biya as the best bet in the upcoming presidential election.

“Making a mistake this time is unacceptable and we must work hard to register at least 100% or 90% votes cast for President Paul Biya,” he said.

The Bafaw Monarch cited some of the things he said where successes of the CPDM regime. These, he said, include the successful handling of the socio-political crisis rocking the two English-speaking Regions, with amnesty given to sons and daughters of Meme; the handling of the Bakassi conflict, which ended in favour of Cameroon and the great role the Head of State plays amongst his peers in Africa, making him the Wiseman of the continent.

Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko also called on the wives of the Quarter Heads to also mobilise women from all the quarters to come out massively in support of Paul Biya, “who remains the best candidate for the growth and unity of Cameroon”.

Meanwhile, the Quarter Heads, through their Spokesperson, Nkume Bitasame, thanked the Nfon for his level-headedness, citing his coming to the grassroots to listen to them and share with them.

They promised a 100% vote for President Biya at the October 12 election. The Quarter Heads took the firm commitment to sensitise the population to be on the same page with them on voting massively for President Biya, come October 12.

The august gathering of over 60 Quarters Heads and their spouses came barely a week after a giant ceremony to officially install the Quarters Heads took place in the Nfon's Palace.

This had been in the presence of the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, of Meme, the President of the South West Regional Assembly, Mayors of Kumba I, II and III Councils and members of the Traditional Council.
