Presidential election: Candidate, Dr Jacques Bougha, promises to resolve Anglophone crisis in three days.

The presidential candidate of the Cameroon National Citizen Movement, MCNC party, Dr Jacques Bougha Hagbe, has promised to resolve the ongoing Anglophone crisis in three days if voted President on October 12.

The candidate made the pledge on Saturday, September 27, while launching his campaigns in Douala in the Littoral Region. 



The campaign was launched at the Bepé Cité neighbourhood, Douala V Subdivision.It was attended by hundreds of his supporters and party officials. The inhabitants of the neighbourhood testified of the track record of Bougha, a son of the soil.

The presidential candidate grew up in the Bepé Cité neighbourhood, where he opted to launch his campaigns.

A resident of the neighbourhood, Moh Emmanuel, who spoke to The Guardian Post, described Dr Bougha Hagbé as the best candidate in the race. 

“We are ready for the election. He is our president, and we invite all Cameroonians to vote him,” Moh said.

Being an economist, a farmer and an eminent Pan-Africanist, Dr Bougha has promised a popular entrepreneurship strategy aimed at boosting the economy.

The economist has pledged to put an end to bribery and Corruption in the country.

Dr Jacques Bougha Hagbé, in his campaign speech, stressed essentially on the fight against poverty, and poor infrastructure, including communication system. 

“The poor internet network also poses a huge problem to our economy; I promise to fix this in six months,” he stated. 

He also envisions to construct free healthcare infrastructures, with a focus on helping the vulnerable groups as well as take care of street children. The candidate has blamed underdevelopment of the country on embezzlement.

He insisted that: “The whole nation should be developed at the same time…you people should be at the center of this development, with road infrastructure, railways, and airports built everywhere throughout the nation. And also, Cameroon will drop the CFA currency to a new currency, this in less than 12 months…”.

Dr Bougha Hagbe through Agriculture, he will use the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC to transform the sector.
