En route to Bafang in the West Region, Jacques Bouhga staged proximity campaign in the towns of Nkongsamba and Mbanga in the Littoral Region, to share his vision for Cameroon with the local community.

The economist equally declared that he is the right person to bring a peaceful resolution to the ongoing socio-economic crisis in the North West and South West Regions. He assured the voters that a vote for him is a vote for peace in the entire country.

Going by the candidate, Cameroon heavily blessed with natural and human resources but unfortunate highly underdeveloped due to mismanagement by a few in power.

“But there's hope because we can fix this very easy and very good. A lot of money is provisioned in the budget to help the people that have subsidies and transfers but the problem is that people never see the money,” he said in an interview to CRTV during the proximity campaign on Saturday.

If elected as President of the Republic, he promised to “give them [population] funds directly from government... It will no longer go through someone else.”

On Sunday, his campaign tour was marked by the live radio interview programme to woo voters in the town of Bafoussam.

He was interviewed during Tropical FM’s flagship programme, Sur la Route Etoudi2025, presented by Kevin Djeukeu. He is expected in Garoua on Monday night to woo voters in that part of the country.
