Kribi Container Terminal launches online invoicing application.

The Kribi Container Terminal, KCT, which manages the Port of Kribi container terminal, has officially launched an online invoicing platform to facilitate and accelerate the processing of the files of its teeming customers.

The Kribi Container Terminal announced the launching of the 24/7 online application, known as Ipaki External Site (IES), in a communique made public Wednesday, June 12.

The electronic application, according to the communique, was developed entirely by one of KCT's reference shareholders, Africa Global Logistics, AGL.

The new platform will enable customers to consult, edit and generate their invoices online 24/7.

The launching of IES, the communique added, is part of KCT's strategy to digitalise and reduce its carbon footprint, in line with the principles of the “Green Terminal” label.

By enabling dematerialised invoice generation, Kribi Container Terminal, the document further detailed, aims to minimise travel for its customers, thus reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions linked to invoice processing operations.

The electronic management solution, the document added, also will facilitate and accelerate the processing of customer files and improve their overall experience.

According to the release, the IES platform offers its users wide range of advantages, including essential time savings, by enabling the simultaneous processing of several files; the guarantee of secure online payments; and simplified monitoring of their operations in real time and with complete transparency.

The integration of IES represents a significant step towards the dematerialisation of procedures at the Kribi Port Authority, contributing to the terminal's modernisation, productivity and efficiency.

Coupled with the electronic payment service offered by Kribi Container Terminal, the IES application now provides customers with an innovative and comprehensive tool for managing their invoicing operations autonomously.

Enter KCT boss

Commenting on the launch of the electronic application, the Managing Director of Kribi Container Terminal, David Azra, said it will greatly contribute to reducing the stress on their growing customer base, most of whom reside out of Kribi.

"More than 95% of our customers operate between Douala and Yaounde, testifying to their confidence in the Kribi Container Terminal. In an ever-changing economic environment, adopting innovative solutions is imperative. With the introduction of electronic invoice management (IES), KCT is improving its customer experience by offering 24/7 availability,” Azra said.

He said the new tool “facilitates deliveries, optimizes our services and simplifies the process for economic operators”.

As the first port operator in Cameroon to offer its customers electronic invoicing, the Managing Director said the “Kribi Container Terminal confirms its determination to contribute to making Kribi a major Subregional hub".
