The Director of MBH Power limited, the multi-national company charged with the renovation of some hydroelectric power transmission lines and substations, has pledged to deliver its lots within assigned deadline and of high-quality services.

The Director of MBH Power Ltd, Mahapatra Rakesh, took the commitment during a field visit at the substation in Nkolbisson, Yaounde, by the Director General of National Electricity Transmission Corporation, SONATREL, Mbemi Nyaknga.

The field visit by the SONATREL boss May 13, also took him to other parts of Yaounde such as the Nyom II-Ngousso transmission line of 90KV, the Nyom II-Nkolnkoumou transmission line of 400KV, and a host of other transmission lines.

Speaking to The Guardian Post following the visit, the Director of MBH Power expressed profound satisfaction of the visit and the words of encouragement by the august guest and his delegation.

“This reaffirms our commitment to delivering the best of our services in the ongoing execution of the awarded contract here in Cameroon,” Rakesh said.

Rakesh also explained that works are ongoing simultaneously at the substations in Nkolnkoumou, Nkolbisson, Oyomabang, and Ngousso for the city of Yaounde while in the economic city of Douala, rebuilding of SONATREL substations are being carried out in Deido, Ngodi-bakoko, Missole, Nylon, Bonaberi, and Bassa.

He then outlined a well-designed schedule for the commissioning of projects sites being implemented not only in Yaounde but also in Douala.

“We plan to commission the Nkolnkoumou site by July, as we are already in the testing and configuration stages. At Nkolbisson, we are committed to commissioning the substation by September of this year and we are trying our best to achieve the timeline,” the MBH Power official averred.

The Director of MBH Power also committed to delivering the best services in Cameroon, just as they have successfully done in many other African countries, especially in West Africa.

Meanwhile, the ongoing construction and renovation works in both cities, is expected to strengthen and stabilise the electricity transmission system as well as avoiding voltage drops and reduce dependence on thermal electricity production said to be expensive.

It should be recalled that, Cameroon’s electricity distribution company, Eneo, had in one of its several communiques to customers, explained that recurrent interruptions of electricity services have been accentuated by the obsolescence of transport and distribution networks which cause an estimated 40% loss of energy produced.

MBH Power, which is a member of the Tolaram Group of Companies, focuses on engineering, procurement and construction solutions in transmission and distribution, metering & energy audit and turnkey solutions in conventional & non-conventional power generation.
