These conditions, she stated, motivated her to introduce medical aesthetics in Cameroon and still keeps her dedicated in changing the status quo using tropical solutions adoptable in Cameroon.

“My research analysis where we did over 50,000 evaluations, we saw that 80% of the people have weak elasticity, 95% were hyper pigmented. Once I saw this, I went straight to produce what can address that,” she stated.

Dr Gibson revealed that the status quo pushed her to bring up further initiatives aimed at developing the skincare sector through research works, training institutions, and clinic to ensure the issues are professional handled.

“I didn’t go out to create a skin care product. I went out to be a solution to a problem. That is why I am not just talking about a skincare product. I am about creating professionals who also want to create or who want to do treatments in the clinic,” she said.

The skin care expert in her late 30s, underlined that her efforts in realising the highly-cherished dream of transforming the sector, is done in collaboration with credible national and international organisations including the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Ministry of Public Health, UNESCO among others.

“This is a huge project so we are working with a lot of credible organs and institutions to get it done. I approached the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family. The mandate of MINPROFF is to empower women like me so it makes sense for them to be my parent ministry,” Dr Gibson said.
