DASH Energies goes operational.

Among them was a delegation of 10 traditional rulers from Canton Akwa, the Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea; the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu; and the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Telcar Cocoa, Kate Fotso.

The Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha, chaired the ceremony and led officials present to cut the inaugural ribbon.

Speaking at the event, Governor Ivaha saluted the vision bearer, Bony Daschaco, for upholding the Head of State’s political vision to promote industrialisation and youth empowerment.

He said it is not an ordinary vision but the start of a completely Cameroonian project to enhance growth. He averred that Dashaco has demonstrated that every compatriot can freely invest back home and contribute to national growth. 

Governor Ivaha intimated that DASH Energies is seeing the light of day to complement others. He said the company has come to address the unemployment challenges of young people. The Governor also assured that the filling station meets all standard benchmarks.

He assured the management of DASH Energies of government support and wished Bony Dashaco and his team well as it expands its tentacles nationwide. He also assured the entrepreneur of the security of his investment.

The Governor said the launch of the Douala Akwa Douche filling station marks the start of not just a Cameroonian dream but one that will benefit the entire Africa.

New energy access era

Taking the floor, the President Director General of Groupe Dashaco Holdings, Bony Dashaco, said it is the start of a new era for access to energy products for the population of Cameroon. 

He explained that DASH Energies is into importation, retail and exploration of petroleum products to address industry needs and “everyday life.”

He reiterated the engagement of DASH Energies to open 100 filling stations across the country by September 2028. 

Dashaco also promised a new experience in energy products supply and the company’s commitment to combatting unemployment.

The Dash Holdings Africa boss thanked the government, the Head of State, Paul Biya; and other national stakeholders for multiform support and confidence in the project.

He said: “This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter in reliable   energy access for our people”. He remarked in an exchange with reporters that “…we thank our illustrious Head of State, His Excellency President Paul Biya, for giving us the impetus to dare and to dream.”

He stated that the goal of DASH Energies remains to make available “safe dependable fuel supply and value-driven energy services across Cameroon.” 

At DASH Energies, Bony Dashaco noted, the dream remains to create more jobs, strengthen the local supply chain “and improving customer service in the communities we serve.”

Upholding Standards, quality service 

The Deputy Director General of DASH Energies, Olivier Sabock, disclosed during the ceremony that the next filling station to go operational will be in Limbe, Fako Division in the South West Region, within the next three weeks. 

Sabock announced the opening of the Kumba service station in two months, with that of Muyuka to see the light of day by the end of this year.

The Deputy DG detailed that the filling station, “…is equipped with a lubrication station, a wheel alignment service, and a shop that offers everything from food items, local and imported beverages to car and motorcycle maintenance products such as gear oils, brake fluids, and coolants…”

He said clients will get matchless, “…services from highly experienced gas station attendants and store clerks who are ready to offer you something special that you won’t find anywhere else.”

Dashaco, the bearer of good tidings 

The City Mayor of Douala, Dr Roger Mbassa Ndine, saluted the entrepreneurial dexterity of Bony Dashaco, noting that his investments continue to bring joy to the population of the nation’s economic capital.

The Dash Holdings Africa boss, Mbassa Ndine said, continues to shine among others who day in and day out sustain Douala as a vital and vibrant business metropolis. He underscored the place of energy in powering the development of the country.

The City Mayor said with the increase in population and rapid growth of the City of Douala, the DASH ENERGIES filling station, comes to complement the growing need of the population. 

He also raised the quality of the facility as fitting into the need of modern infrastructure for a city of Douala’s standing. He expressed delight that the DASH Energies filling station in Douala depicts the changing landscape of energy products distribution with many nationals now key players unlike before.
