Yango Ride Launches Nationwide Driver Recognition Programme to Reward Excellence and Promote Professional Standards in Cameroon.

Yango Ride, part of the global tech company Yango Group,  has launched its largest national driver recognition programme to date in Cameroon, celebrating outstanding  partner drivers while reinforcing its commitment to professionalism, regulatory compliance and service quality across its platform.

The initiative culminated in a national recognition event at the Salle de Fête, Akwa Palace in Douala, bringing together top-performing  partner drivers, fleet partners and company representatives from Douala, Yaoundé and Bafoussam.

Designed to recognise excellence across Yango Ride's partner drivers community, the programme honoured 30 top-performing  partner drivers across the Eco, Comfort, Moto and Best Content Creator categories. Winners were selected based on a combination of driver ratings, completed trips, acceptance rate and compliance with platform and regulatory requirements, recognising both strong performance and professional standards.

As part of the initiative, Yango Ride also reinforced its commitment to regulatory compliance by introducing a special award recognising the highest-performing driver who had successfully completed the government's Blue Card licensing requirements. The recognition highlights the company's commitment to encouraging compliance with national transport regulations while celebrating professionalism and excellence across its driver-partner network.

Throughout the event, partner drivers received a range of rewards, including two brand-new motorcycles awarded through a dedicated Moto Challenge raffle, alongside household appliances, fuel vouchers, Yango-branded merchandise and other prizes. The motorcycles were awarded to recognise exceptional commitment from riders and to support them in growing their livelihoods.

"Our partner drivers are at the heart of everything we do. This recognition programme is our way of celebrating the people who consistently deliver high-quality service while demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to Cameroon’s transport regulations," said Dr. Clovis Pilla, Country Manager of Yango Cameroon. "By recognising excellence on a national scale, we hope to encourage even more partner drivers to uphold high standards, complete the Blue Card requirements and contribute to safer, more reliable mobility services across the country."

One of the motorcycle winners, Fotso Prosper Jr., said the award represents far more than recognition. "This motorcycle will help me work more efficiently, increase my earnings and continue supporting my family. I am grateful to Yango for recognising the efforts of bike riders like me and for creating opportunities that reward hard work and dedication."

The programme reflects Yango Ride's continued investment in the professional development of its partner drivers community in Cameroon. Operating under a special S10 licence since 2023, the company continues to promote safer, more reliable and regulation-compliant mobility while supporting initiatives that help partner drivers succeed and deliver high-quality service to passengers.
