Supporters and sympathisers of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM party, in the United States of America, USA, have proudly celebrated what they say is the party’s 41 years of unity, stability, and progress in Cameroon’s political landscape.

A crowd-pulling, colourful and highly successful event to this effect, held on Friday, March 27, 2026.

This was at the Hilton Hotel in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA.

In attendance were distinguished party adherents and dignitaries, including the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to the USA and members of his diplomatic staff.

Also present were CPDM USA Section executives, led by the Section President, Yah Patience Tamfu, and her team; the Mid-Atlantic Subsection, the President of CPDM Gaithersburg Branch and her team, as well as numerous supporters, well-wishers, and friends of the party.

Party supporters used the anniversary as a moment of reflection and celebration, highlighting the remarkable achievements of the CPDM over the past four decades; under the visionary leadership of its founder and National President, Paul Biya.

Speaker after speaker at the event, paid glowing tribute to the party’s enduring commitment to peace, national unity, democratic consolidation, and socio-economic development across the ten Regions of Cameroon.

In her address, the Section President of CPDM USA, Yah Patience Tamfu, expressed profound gratitude to party comrades, for their unwavering loyalty, discipline, and dedication.

Tamfu noted that their grassroots mobilisation and steadfast support remain the backbone of the party’s continued success, both at home and in the diaspora.

She also used the event to encourage supporters to remain resolute and committed as the political outfit continues to chart the path of progress and stability for the nation, under the guidance of President Paul Biya.

The celebration was marked by a spirit of unity, pride, and renewed determination. Supporters used the event to reaffirm their total support for the leadership of President Paul Biya and the ideals of the party.

The anniversary was also used to offer special recognition to George Vinga, whose outstanding efforts in sponsoring and coordinating the anniversary, led to its immense success.

The recognition, party officials said, was also for his dedication and organisational excellence, which were widely commended.

The event concluded on a high note, with party supporters expressing optimism for the future and reaffirming their commitment to advancing the mission and values of the ruling CPDM party.
