At mega rally in Kumba: Dion Ngute rallies Meme population to plebiscite Biya.

Dion Ngute delivering Biya’s message to population yesterday

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Dr Chief Joseph Dion Ngute, has mobilised the population of Meme Division, in the South West Region, to give President Paul Biya unrivalled number of votes, come Sunday October 12.

This was the focus of a campaign rally in Kumba yesterday. He was accompanied by the Governor of the South West Region, Bernard Okalia Bilai, and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development in charge of Planning, Paul Njukang Tasong.

On the sidelines of the campaign, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Kumba Grandstand and a World Bank-funded Road in Fiango. He later made visits to the cooking gas plant, under construction in Barombi Kang and the Kumba Ekondo-Titi Road, also under construction.

Addressing the population from across Meme Division who travelled to Kumba for the rally, Dion Ngute said the future of development in the Division and Kumba in particular lies with President Biya.

He delivered campaign messages in favour of Biya at the grandstand before doing same at the Fiango and Kumba Main Markets. Beyond politics, he urged the population to remain resilient and trust in the leadership abilities of Biya.

With presidential election on Sunday, Dion Ngute said Biya is the best choice for Kumba."…I was sent by the President of the Republic to come and see you people a few days to the election and talk to you,” Dion Ngute declared, assuring the population of more development with Biya.

Don’t waste your votes

He told the population that it is needless voting for the opposition, when it is clear they can’t win the presidential election.

“…you cannot go and waste your votes with the opposition where you know that they will not win this election. I urge you not to waste your votes…rather cast your vote for the CPDM, so that the President will continue to maintain me…I will be in office and you people will benefit from my stay in office,” the Prime Minister declared.

He assured the population that Biya has taken measures to ensure the vitality of major corporations in the South West Region. He mentioned PAMOL, the National Oil Refinery Corporation, SONARA and the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC. He said Biya has already cleared the salary arrears of CDC workers, while measures are underway for the other corporations in the Region.

Other speakers

Also speaking at the rally, the CPDM Section President for Meme IA, Hon Tabot Lawson, told the PM that the opposition is dead in Kumba.

Tabot Lawson Bakia, fondly called Njalla, said on Sunday, President Biya will be voted for, by at least 95 percent in Kumba.

The Nfon of Kumba and Paramount Ruler of the Bafaw, Senator Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, rallied traditional rulers to show their support for Biya.

Nfon Mukete reiterated at yesterday’s rally that politics remains a game of interest and the people of Kumba won’t make the error of voting any other candidate other than Biya.
