Bamenda I Subdivision: Senator Nebah engages grassroots mobilisation for Biya’s landslide victory.

Telling grassroots population why Biya is the best choice

In a bid to ensure landslide victory for the candidate of Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, President Paul Biya, at the October 12 election, Senator Prof Nebah Bridget Ndosiri Ndoye, has engaged grassroots mobilisation in Bamenda I Subdivision, Mezam Division of the North West Region.

The CPDM proximity campaigns led by Senator Prof Nebah has seen her moving from one quarter to the other within Bamendankwe, spreading a message calling on all and sundry to vote for Paul Biya.

Senator Prof Nebah Bridget Ndosiri Ndoye, it should be noted, is the Vice President of the Mezam Divisional Campaign of the CPDM, Vice President of the Bamenda I Communal Campaign and also Section President of Mezam 1A WCPDM.

During a rally organised at Alahting quarter, Senator Prof Nebah emphasised that the development of Bamenda I Subdivision had been in motion over the last 12 years since the CPDM took over the council.

"The achievements of the CPDM in Bamenda I are overwhelming. The various quarters are interconnected with good roads. Pipe-borne water is flowing and the population is enjoying it. Electricity has been extended and I can say we are on a good path,” she said.

She added that: “To say the least, the CPDM fought for peace in this Subdivision and achieved it. This is why there has been an influx of people here, leading to substantial development”.

She continued her campaign by telling the population that President Paul Biya believes in the youth and the women. This, she noted, was why she was endorsed by the party to become the first female elected Senator from Mezam Division.

Senator Prof Nebah reminded the grassroots population that during her tenure as Technical Adviser to the Minister of Women's Empowerment and the Family, a women's empowerment centre was given to the population of Bamendankwe. She encouraged all and sundry to get their children and women trained at the centre, which is fully equipped.

Over the last few months, she stated, the Bamenda I Subdivision has seen the completion of the liquefied gas plant, the construction of the Bamenda I Municipal Stadium in Atougoulah, the commencement of the Bamendankwe main market, the ongoing construction of the dual carriage way from Welcome to Bamenda through Akumbele, to Ecole Des Champions and the new road. These projects, the Senator said, are sufficient for the Bamendankwe people to vote overwhelmingly for President Paul Biya.

"Politics na Njangi. President Paul Biya has scratched the backs of the Bamendankwe man. It is time we scratch his own," she told the population.

Meanwhile, speaking as he accompanied the Senator on the campaign trail, Tamajong Pius, coordinator of Zone 2, said President Paul Biya has started the decentralisation drive, which will be strengthened during his next mandate.

"When you go to the polls on October 12, ensure you vote with the white ballot paper. That is your power, that is your voice. Let no one tell you otherwise," Tamanjong Pius said.

The campaign team, led by Senator Prof Nebah, received a boost from the Mayor of Bamenda I Council, Mbigah Felix and his deputies. They called on the population to get their voter cards ready while encouraging them to be at the polling stations early.

The campaign team that has been carrying out its mission by going from door to door in strict respect of the proximity campaign strategy put in place by the CPDM Central Committee and the regional campaign team, has promised President Paul Biya a 100% victory.
