Members of the CPDM Kumba II communal campaign team, have pledged to tactfully carry the message of goodwill to the grassroots and ensure landslide victory for their candidate, President Paul Biya at the October 12 presidential election.

This was echoed by the president of the CPDM Kumba II communal campaign team, Mayor Mbachu Jacob Kay, in Fiango, headquarters of Kumba II Municipality, Tuesday September 30, 2025. The occasion was the launching of the CPDM campaign in Kumba II Subdivision.

Present at the event was also the Divisional Officer of Kumba II Subdivision; Senator Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko; Councillors of the Kumba II Municipal council, amongst others.

Mayor Mbachu Jacob Kay said the choice of Club Number I to launch the campaign was for the population to come out massively and see how far the neigbourhood has been transformed “thanks to the wise leadership of President Paul Biya”.

He thanked the population for their massive turnout, urging them not to regret supporting the CPDM party.

Other speakers during the rally such as Prince Abel Mukete, Mayor Nasirou, Senator Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko, among others, all agreed that the country has been through a lot, “but it's thanks to the leadership of the President of the Republic that we all as a country triumph over the tribulations like the Boko Haram crisis,  the crisis rocking the two English-speaking regions, and the Bakassi crisis which successfully ended in favour of Cameroon”.

To these speakers, the age of a candidate is not an issue “because the older a leader gets the wiser and more courageous, he or she becomes, reason they are sticking to President Biya.

“Until he finds someone who will replace him our support for President Biya is unquestionable,” they averred.

At the close of the gathering, which was also attended by Quarters Heads, youth groups and market women of Kumba II, the population was reminded to retrieve their voter’s cards from ELECAM offices to be better prepared to cast their votes for Biya on October 12.

The bailout paper of the CPDM candidate and a manifesto of his socioeconomic and development savvy was presented to the population.
