After Bamenda: Osih stages groundbreaking campaign in Kumba, canvasses for votes.

Osih, other SDF offficials during rally in Kumba

The candidate of the Social Democratic Front, SDF, at the October 12 presidential election, Hon Chief Osih Joshua Nambangi has staged a groundbreaking campaign rally in Kumba, Meme Division of the South West Region.

The Kumba rally held Sunday was second for the SDF campaign trail since the exercise was launched Saturday September 27.

The opposition political party had flagged off the exercise Saturday in Bamenda, birth place of the outfit.

Meanwhile, during the Kumba rally, Hon Osih was accompanied by the party’s Secretary General, Njong Danatus and SDF South West Regional Coordinator, Chief John Kona Makia.

The rally was attended by an enthusiastic crowd of SDF who came from across Meme Division.

Addressing his supporters, Osih said he had come to Kumba not to campaign “because you don't campaign when you're with your family”.

Describing himself as a Kumba boy, Osih said he had come to receive blessings from the people of the city.

“The message I have for the people here in Kumba is part of the message that I have been preaching all over. The system needs to be changed and I am the candidate that can bring the much-needed change the people are so longing to have. Power needs to come back to the people” he told his supporters.

The SDF chieftain had used the rally to present his presidential programme. He promised that if elected, he will offer free education to Cameroonians children from pre-nursery to high school.

Osih has also promised free healthcare and a federal system of government for the people of the country.

Back to his roots…

Prior to his Kumba, Hon Osih and his delegation had attended a divine church service at the Presbyterian Church, PC Kumba Mbeng, where his father, Rev Osih once served as a pastor.

The SDF Chairman had thanked the congregation for giving him the opportunity to reconnect with his roots.

The SDF Chairman stated that he had come to worship before heading to the different campaign venues where he will be rolling out his campaign agenda.

"I am not here in church to campaign but to attend church as a Presbyterian Christian… the sermon was very inspiring and impactful…" Hon Osih said.

Osih in Konye…

On Sunday, Hon Osih also campaigned in Konye Subdivision. During the Konye rally, Osih challenged voters in the area to take back their destinies by overwhelmingly voting for the SDF while protecting their votes.

For their part, supporters of the party had thanked Osih for coming to Konye. They pledged to vote overwhelmingly for the SDF candidate in the Presidential election.
