At graduation ceremony: Minister urges graduates to embrace enthusiasm, professionalism.

Laureates receiving end-of-course certificates

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, has urged graduates of the National Youth and Civic Education Centres, CENAJES, to consider ethics and professionalism in their quest to promote sports education, youth engagement, and civic responsibility nationwide.

The minister was speaking at a graduation ceremony of some 322 laureates from Bertoua, Bamenda, Dschang, and Garoua CENAJES centers who had just completed their two-year-long professional journey for the 2024–2025 academic year.

The ceremony took place at the CPDM party headquarters in Bertoua, Chief town of the East Region.

The event saw a large turnout of guests, including the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform, Joseph Le, representatives from the Ministry of Secondary Education.

They are now certified physical and sports education teachers, ready to be deployed to schools and communities nationwide.

According to officials, the graduating class bears the name "Dynamism, Resilience, and Leadership," a symbolic reflection of the values instilled in them and their readiness to serve as role models in their communities.

In his keynote address, Minister Mouelle Kombi urged the graduates to embody enthusiasm, commitment, and professionalism as they transition into civil service.

“The name given to your cohort echoes the high-level guidance of the Head of State, His Excellency Paul Biya,” he said.

“In an increasingly demanding and complex professional environment, you are expected to demonstrate vitality and drive, essential qualities to carry out your duties with passion and devotion.” Minister Mouelle Kombi said.

The Minister reminded them that beyond being educators, they now assume the dual role of instructors and community leaders capable of shaping the future of Cameroon’s youth.
As they step into their roles, the country looks to them not only as teachers but also as beacons of civic virtue, leadership, and resilience.

As per the minister, the graduation of the students was part of broader governmental efforts to support the socio-economic integration of young people in Cameroon.

With their training now complete, officials say the new laureates are expected to uphold the standards of their profession and contribute meaningfully to national development through education and sport.
