Ghanaian university confers honourary PhD on Hon Njingum Musa.

The Member of Parliament, MP, for Ngoketunjia constituency in the North West Region, Hon Njingum Musa, has been recognised with an academic honour for his exceptional services to his people and humanity. 

The distinction was conferred on him by the prestigious African Institute of Church Project Management and Ministry based in Ghana. 



It is affiliated to the American Brainae University in Delaware. 

Hon Njigum Musa was conferred the Honourary Doctorate Degree by a delegation from the Ghanaian varsity, also known as African Institute of Theological Seminary.

The delegation was led by Prof Okpako Emmanuel, African Continent Representative of the institute. The accolade was conferred on him Friday July 11.

This was during a ceremony at the Conference Hall of the National Assembly. The grandiose event was attended by some senior officials of the National Assembly, family members and his close aids.   

The delegation also included Dr Gracious Bobova and Rev Dr Zikiru Hezekiah as members.  

According to the delegation members, the President and Senate of the African Institute had certified that Hon Njingum has satisfactorily completed the approved course of study for Honourary Doctorate Degree of Philosophy in Computer Management.

Going by the delegation head, the aim of awarding the honourary PhD is in a bid to promote sustainable development, emancipation of Africa economy and emergence of Africa. 

In his acceptance speech, the questor at the National Assembly expressed surprised for the recognition. He, however, voiced his joy to have been singled out from the multitude of workaholic personalities in Cameroon to be honoured with the award.   

“I Am extremely very happy with this recognition… I never expected,” he told The Guardian Post.

“As I was undertaking my activities and duties, there were some people who were watching me from behind. We are in a country where there is a lot of tight security in seeing what each and every one is doing,” Hon Njingum further said.

Though “embarrassed” by the award, elite from Ngoketunjia affirmed that the recognition some with a lot of encouragement to further “leverage” development-oriented initiatives in his community.

“I have learned one thing here, which is going to inspire me to leverage in all the sectors of life of the Cameroonian people,” he pointed.

According to the Questor of the National Assembly, the recognition boosted his commitments to work towards attaining his objectives in life which are that of sustainable development, promotion of peace and living together, as well as undertaking developmental projects in the nation. 

It is worth noting that the questor, now Hon Dr Njingum Musa, has an inviting personality, shielded in humility, intelligence and love for his people. 

In his over 15 years at the National Assembly, Hon Njingum Musa has maintained a never-seen popularity, even in the face of adversity with grassroots supporters.

He is an ardent supporter of the President of the Republic and his visions for that country and has demonstrated this by organising several socio-economic and cultural activities within and beyond his Ngoketunjia constituency.

Affectionately referred to as the “Golden Hero of Ngoketunjia” for his political mastery, many also considers him as a father figure, elite, counsellor and servant leader who has thrived on the basis of his peace-oriented and development politics.
