Bamendankwe elite donates 15 million FCFA for fencing, equipping of village hospital.

An elite of Bamendankwe based in the United States of America, USA, Dr Emmanuel Tamajong Mumah, has donated the sum of 15 million FCFA for the fencing and provision of amenities to Bamendankwe hospital.



The information was disclosed in a communique dated August 15, 2024, issued by the Bamendankwe Development and Cultural Association, BAMEDCA. The release was signed by BAMEDCA National President, Tantoh Emmanuel.

“This latest contribution adds to the Mumah family's long-standing support for our community. Previously, they have donated over FCFA 29 million towards other important development initiatives in our village,” the BAMEDCA communique read in part. 

It added that: “We are forever grateful for the Dr. E. Tama Mumah family's selfless and impactful contributions towards the continued development of Bamendankwe. Their generosity will greatly enhance the capabilities and infrastructure of our medical facilities, ensuring our community has access to high-quality healthcare”. 

It continued that: “On behalf of the entire village, BAMEDCA would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. and Mrs. E. Tama Mumah and their family. This donation, combined with their past support, is a testament to their unwavering commitment to supporting the progress and wellbeing of our community. We look forward to celebrating this wonderful news and to putting the Mumah family's latest gift to work for the betterment of Bamendankwe”.

 

Community showers praises on Dr. E. Tama Mumah

Since the announcement of the huge donation, Dr. Tama Mumah has been having accolades from the Bamendankwe community at home and abroad.

The president of BAMEDCA Yaounde branch, Engr. Mofor Franklin, said: “On behalf of the Bamendankwe community resident in Yaounde, I will like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. E. Tama and his family for their extraordinary generosity. In under two years, their contribution of about 44 million FCFA will significantly transform the Bamendankwe community, proving their commitment to making a real difference”.

“Their support goes beyond financial aid, showcasing true leadership and compassion without seeking personal gain. Their dedication serves as a powerful inspiration, demonstrating that genuine efforts can overcome challenges and drive positive change,” Mofor added. 

“Thank you, Dr. Tama and family, for your remarkable contributions. Your impact will continue to uplift and inspire the Bamendankwe community for years to come,” he noted.

 

“Donations essential in undertake vital initiatives”

On his part, the National President of BAMEDCA, Tantoh Emmanuel, was overwhelmed by the benefactor’s “unwavering support and generosity”. 

“Your financial grants have been instrumental in enabling BAMEDCA to undertake vital initiatives for the development of our village. Your willingness to provide funding whenever BAMEDCA requires is truly remarkable, and I am forever indebted to you and your family,” he stated. 

Tantoh also took the opportunity to remind esteemed Bamendankwe elite and BAMEDCA branches to always work in close synergy with the association when implementing projects, rather than pursuing individual efforts, “as this ensures the efficient and coordinated advancement of our community”. 

“When we work in partnership and collaboration, we avoid duplication of projects, ensuring the efficient and coordinated advancement of our village. Once again, accept my deepest appreciation, Dr/Mrs Tama. May the good lord continue to provide for your family and replenish the source of this generous donation a hundred folds,” he added.

Forche Ndima Clement, president of the Bamendankwe Village Council, also thanked Dr. Emmanuel Mumah and family “for the unflinching continuous commitment to the development of the village”. 

Meanwhile, the incoming president of BAMEDCA North America, Chi Tansinda, described Dr. Mumah as “a true BAMEDCA North America luminary”.

“Our own very Dr. Tama Muma & wife, BAMEDCA NA is proud to have you as one of us. Keep up the great work! God bless you and your family,” Chi noted.

Chi’s predecessor, Bachie Donatus, was also full of praises for Dr. Mumah.

“One of our own in the North American continent has done it again as usual,” he said. 

“The District Hospital is the key to the health of the Bamendankwe people. Join me to appreciate my big brother and wife. We will forever be grateful for what you and your family are doing for BAMEDCA North America and BAMEDCA General back home,” Bachie said. 

The president of BAMEDCA Douala, Tanjang Godfred Nkambi, on behalf of his branch, also hailed Dr. Mumah and wife for the “constant generosity and humanitarian gestures to the Bamendankwe people”. 

“Your dedication and strong attachment to your motherland is a testimony that you are a role model to be emulated. Blessed has always been the hands that give,” Tanjang said. 

Koti Theophilus, BAMEDCA Buea branch president, on behalf of his branch, echoed words of appreciation “for the elephant donation you have made”. 

“This donation will go a very long way to better the health standards of the entire Bamendankwe community at home. May your pockets never run short of liquidity,” Koti added.
