Captain Alang Geh: Cameroon’s unsung humanitarian hero transforming lives.

Captain Alang Geh and wife: A source of inspiration to society

There is a common maxim that some men are born great, some attain greatness while some had greatness bestowed on them.

In another vein, the Holy Scriptures makes us to understand that a prophet is without honour except in his own place.

One of the most successful Cameroonians based in the diaspora, Captain Alang Geh, is a man who has achieved success, fame and greatness through hard work but is unfortunately not given commensurate accolades back home.

Due to the fact that he is not given to blowing his trumpet, Captain Alang Geh, who sits atop Caring Hands Africa Inc, a humanitarian organisation, keeps a low-profile lifestyle.

The undisputed unsung humanitarian hero’s philosophy of life is to attain excellence, through hard work, dedication and honesty.

Born of a humble parentage in Menchum Division of the North West Region, Captain Alang Geh braved the odds to become a successful community leader, philanthropist and the family man he is today.

A very humble and humane achiever, Alang Geh is detribalised Cameroonian who accords respect to the sanctity of life and the existence of God.

A dynamic and hard-flying entrepreneur, he has the wherewithal to excel where others fail due to his strength of character, vision and dedication to any cause he chooses to pursue.

Due to his penchant for threading on paths dreaded by others, Captain Alang Geh could not allow his humble background to deter him from attaining Olympic heights in life.

Consequently, he has doggedly consigned poverty to the background and having tasted that side of life, he has vowed to erase tears from the faces of average Cameroonians. He has made his mark, both locally and internationally, in touching lives.

As such, the history of the fight against poverty in Cameroon cannot be written without the audacious contributions of the Esu-born philanthropist.

In a world where acts of kindness often go unnoticed, Captain Alang Geh stands out as a beacon of hope and change.

As a United States, US Air Force Medical Officer and Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Captain Geh has dedicated his life to serving others, both in the United States and his homeland, Cameroon.

His unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the underserved has left an indelible mark on communities across Cameroon since 2017.
Captain Geh founded Caring Hands Africa Inc., an organisation that has been a lifeline for many.

While his roots lie in Esu, his philanthropic efforts have transcended village boundaries, touching lives in the North West, West, Littoral, and South West Regions of Cameroon.

Captain Alang believes that being in service to others is a fundamental part of participating in human experience.

He has been very faithful to realising the vision of Caring Hands Africa. The project is at the center of the core mission of the organisation.
This year, Captain Geh launched a significant project on May 10, 2024, in collaboration with the Cameroon American Military Professionals, a 501(c) charity based in America.

The launching was facilitated by the Caring Hands Africa team lead, Kumbuh Louis. The initiative aims to alleviate the burden of care for end-stage kidney patients at Buea Regional Hospital.

Partnering with Dr Mokake, the project seeks to reduce the mortality rate among dialysis patients through a comprehensive three-month mission.

The effort, involving local volunteers organised by Caring Hands Africa, will cost approximately three million FCFA, covering logistics, materials, and implementation.
Captain Geh's commitment to education is equally impressive. In 2022, he sent 120 students back to school in Buea, Douala, Bamenda, Weh and Esu.

The following year, his organisation continued this noble cause, successfully sending 103 children back to school across Cameroon.

His tactical mobile clinics impact over 1,200 patients annually, providing essential orthopedic supplies, wheelchairs, crutches, and feminine hygiene treatment kits.
The impact of Captain Geh's work cannot be overstated. The dedication of the Cameroon coordinator and volunteers, under his leadership, has brought tangible improvements to the quality of life in numerous villages.

Their relentless efforts embody the spirit of Caring Hands Africa, transforming lives, one act of kindness at a time.
Captain Geh’s story is a testament to the power of compassion and determination.

His efforts to make a difference in Cameroon serve as an inspiration to many, demonstrating that true leadership and generosity can bridge continents and change lives.

As he continues to forge paths of hope and healing, Captain Alang Geh reminds society of the profound impact one individual can have on the world.
