Mamfe: Suspected Amba fighters bury Presbyterian Church Congregational Chairman alive!.

The Congregational Chairman, whose name The Guardian Post got as Agbormbouh Prizo, is reported to have been kidnapped alongside other persons on Wednesday March 15.

Security forces are said to have clashed with separatist fighters a day before their kidnap. At least three separatist fighters are said to have crumbled in the clash.

The confrontation is said to have resulted in the death of three fighters whose bodies were later displayed in public at the Mamfe central town.

A local said: “There was a confrontation on Tuesday between the Amba boys and the military along the road of one of the village in Nchang”.

The source further noted that, “while they were working together in a farm, the topic of discussion sprouted about the military-Amba clash”.

Agbormbouh is reported to have expressed the wish for security forces to restore order in the community.

“In the course of their discussion, the chairman said ‘the way the Amba fighters are terrorising them within this period, he would have been happy if during that confrontation, all of them were killed’,” the source added.

Accounts which The Guardian Post could not independently confirm hold that, some suspected separatist fighters overhead the discussion from a hideout and swoop on those who were talking about their clash with security forces.

They are said to have demanded a ransom of 100, 000 FCFA before proceeding to bury the PC Congregational Chairman alive.

The suspected Amba fighters are reported to have promised to show the congregational chairman what death is on grounds that he had wished them death.

“His mouth was tied up to prevent him from talking. They took him again to another location where they buried him alive,” a source stated.

Some of those who were kidnapped alongside the chairman are said to have been released Thursday March 16.

This is not the first time that the locality of Nchang is witnessing such atrocities. Last year, the Catholic Church in Nchang was set ablaze by suspected separatist fighters.

Then, they also kidnapped some priests, a reverend sister and other church workers. They were released after several months in captivity.
