Dingana Raymond

Award-winning journalist, Dingana Raymond Gweningom, has joined the nation’s leading print media organ, The Guardian Post, as Bureau Chief of the North West and West Regions.

The versatile journalist was appointed by the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian Post on Friday, August 14.

Dingana’s coming on board is to fill the vacuum created by the departure to the United States of America, USA, of the former North West and West Bureau Chief, Mboh Promise.

Mboh was recently awarded a fully funded two-year MasterCard Foundation Scholarship to pursue a Master of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley.

The Guardian Post Publisher said Dingana’s recruitment and appointment falls in line with the desire and commitment of the media organ to better serve the ever increasing readers of the newspaper with quality information.

Ngah said despite drastic drop in sales, two English-speaking regions remain a fief of The Guardian Post as an English language newspaper.

He appointment is to ensure the newspaper maintains its position as Cameroon’s best and most influential media outlet.

“The Guardian Post as Cameroon’s most widely read newspaper remains committed to sustaining and improving its standards. We already have the best team but we think there is need to bring other good hands on board,” Ngah explained.

The Managing Editor, Doh Bertrand, described the recruitment and appointment of Dingana Raymond as timely.

“Dingana is well-known name in the media landscape in the North West Region. His coming on board will help the media house better cover and give visibility to news stories in the North West and West Regions,” Doh said.

The Managing Editor sounded upbeat Dingana will in a very short while better master the inner workings of The Guardian Post and contribute to the growth of the media house.
