One of Cameroon’s leading financial institutions, CCA Bank, has intensified efforts to promote entrepreneurship through its Gisèle Success programme, one year after the product was launched.

This was during a sensitisation seminar organised on April 30, at the bank’s headquarters in Bonanjo, Douala.

It saw the participation of traders, artisans, entrepreneurs and prospective business owners interested in benefiting from the financing scheme.

The meeting served as an opportunity for bank officials to explain the functioning of the programme, eligible projects, financing conditions and the support mechanisms put in place to accompany beneficiaries.

Speaking during the seminar, CCA Bank Marketing Manager, Arsène Kapnang, said the institution created the Gisèle Success programme to provide entrepreneurs with access to financing, while also equipping them with the tools needed to sustainably grow their businesses.

According to him, the programme allows beneficiaries to access financing of up to 20 million FCFA after progressively saving a minimum amount of 4,125,000 FCFA over a period ranging from six months to 48 months.

He explained that clients can make progressive deposits from as low as 50,000 FCFA depending on their financial capacity and business objectives.

“The objective is not only to finance projects, but also to avoid over-indebting our clients. We carefully evaluate each project to determine the most suitable financing amount,” Kapnang stated.

He added that repayment periods can extend up to 48 months with a competitive interest rate on the market. Beneficiaries may also be granted grace periods of up to three months to allow projects to stabilise before repayment begins.

CCA Bank officials further clarified that the programme finances income-generating projects and not personal luxury acquisitions. Commercial activities, expansion projects and business development initiatives are among the eligible sectors.

As part of the guarantees required, the savings accumulated by clients remain partially blocked during the loan period while generating annual interest. Additional guarantees, including solidarity guarantees and stock collateral for traders, may also be requested depending on the nature of the project.

The bank's officials emphasised that the Gisèle Success programme equally focuses on training and business mentorship.

They explained that many small entrepreneurs often lack administrative, accounting and management skills needed to effectively run growing businesses. Through the programme, beneficiaries receive guidance aimed at helping them structure and manage their activities more efficiently.

CCA Bank Communication Lead, Winifred Emmanuella Nyoki Sade, said the initiative was conceived as more than just a credit product.

“One year after launching the programme, it was important for us to reconnect with clients and prospects to further explain the different types of financing eligible under Gisèle Success. It is not only about giving money; we accompany clients, train them and help them build feasible business plans,” she said.

According to her, the bank works closely with entrepreneurs to determine realistic financing needs and repayment capacities in order to ensure projects remain viable and profitable.

She noted that the programme targets various categories of entrepreneurs including traders, artisans, small business owners and salaried workers in the private sector seeking to expand income-generating activities.

CCA Bank officials also highlighted the programme’s digital dimension, which allows clients to better manage their bank accounts and business transactions through digital tools adapted to modern entrepreneurial realities.

Participants at the seminar expressed satisfaction with the training session, saying it provided greater clarity on the product and financing opportunities available to them.

One of the participants, Gomse Rodriguez, described the programme as attractive and beneficial for entrepreneurs seeking business expansion.

“We now better understand the eligibility conditions, the type of projects financed and the opportunities available through this programme. It is very encouraging for young entrepreneurs,” he said.
