Belife Insurance announces transition from Prudential Beneficial.

Insurance firm, Belife Insurance, has officially announced its transition from Prudential Beneficial Insurance, a strategic rebranding officials said aimed at reinforcing its local roots and pan-African identity.

The announcement, made in a press release issued in Douala recently.



The  company's  management have described the transition as a new chapter built on more than five decades of uninterrupted service across Cameroon, Togo and Côte d’Ivoire.

According to the release, the transition goes beyond a mere change in name and visual identity. It reflects a renewed ambition to develop tailored insurance solutions while strengthening proximity to customers in local markets.

Despite the rebranding, the company has reassured clients and partners that all existing insurance policies, guarantees and services remain unchanged. There will be no disruption in coverage or customer support.

Management has through the release, emphasised that clients will continue to benefit from the same level of expertise and reliability that has defined the institution for over 50 years.

Speaking on the transition, Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Belief insurance Cameroon, Brain Nkwenti, underscored the company’s commitment to continuity and innovation.

“We take great pride in our heritage and in the trust we have built with our policyholders, both over the past five years under the Prudential Beneficial Insurance brand and throughout more than fifty years of uninterrupted service,” he said.

“As we begin this new chapter as Belife Insurance, we remain firmly committed to empowering individuals and businesses with solutions that protect what matters most,” Nkwenti added.

The company noted that the rebranding aligns with a broader strategic direction focused on agility, innovation and deeper engagement with local communities.

Operating in Cameroon since 1974, Belife Insurance has established a strong nationwide presence through two entities ,  one dedicated to life insurance and another to non-life insurance services.

Its operations are supported by a network of over 2,000 financial advisors in the life insurance segment and more than 500 agents in non-life insurance, ensuring coverage across all ten regions of the country.

The firm reiterated its vision of providing accessible, reliable and people-centred insurance solutions, with a long-term goal of securing the future of individuals, families and businesses.

With the transition now fully underway, the company has called on clients, partners and stakeholders to accompany it's  future-oriented phase of growth and service delivery.
