Ahead of twin elections: Santa CPDM lays groundwork for overwhelming victory.

Supporters and officials of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM party, in the Mezam II Section (Santa), have laid the groundwork for the party’s landslide victory in the upcoming Municipal and Legislative elections.

The strategy was put in place during the CPDM Mezam II Joint Section Conference. It held in Santa on Saturday March 21, 2026.

The conference brought together all the who is who of the CPDM in Santa, including all the leaders of the various Subsections, key political stakeholders and elite of the administrative unit.

Party officials said the conference, held in prelude to the celebration of the party’s anniversary on March 24, 2026, was geared at evaluating the results of the October 12, 2025, presidential election; in which Santa massively voted for the CPDM candidate, as well as lay the necessary groundwork for landslide victory in subsequent polls.

Enter Ntum-Kwifon Che Linidolf

Speaking during the gathering, grassroots support mobiliser and the main financier of Santa CPDM, Ntum-Kwifon Che Linidolf, who has consistently been bankrolling party activities for years, underscored the need to massively mobilise finances to adequately prepare for local polls, expected to hold early next year.

The CPDM party financier also called for the judicious use of such resources in order to ensure resounding victories for the party in the local polls.

The prominent businessman and President Director General, PDG, of Merdolf Sarl, also urged all party officials and supporters to contribute for local polls. Ntum-Kwifon Che Linidolf also highlighted the need for constant financial contributions to the growth of the party at the base.

"For every party and elections to be successful, we need finances...," Ntum-Kwifon Che Linidolf told party supporters during the massively-attended Joint Section Conference.

The fervent party supporter who was Chief Launcher of a fund drive in Santa to ease President Biya’s re-election, told supporters to give whatever they have as every franc counts.

"Others may not do like me but every militant’s effort is encouraged,” he told all grassroots supporters and Santa CPDM Section executives.

Ntum-Kwifon Che Linidolf further underscored the need for accountability. He was emphatic that the judicious use of the resources are key components for the growth of the ruling party. He added that proper accountability will calvanise supporters to contribute more.

Enter other party officials

On his part, the Section President of CPDM Mezam II, Mbah Shupong Michael, told supporters that results obtained in the last presidential election were thanks to the well-coordinated network and synergy of efforts between all leaders of the three wings of the party- Subsection Presidents, Cell and Unit Heads.

“We are here first of all to say thank you. When an act of goodwill is done by someone, it is necessary to be appreciative. They voted massively for our champion, convinced by our manifesto. This Section Conference is therefore to tell these leaders “Thank You,” for the coordination done and the victory obtained," Shupong said.

Supports drilled on leveraging women, youth representation

Other highpoints of the Joint Section Conference were lectures, which party officials delivered to supporters on the importance of leveraging women and youth representation for a successful grassroots militancy.

They were also enlightened on the role of financial accountability and contributions for effective success as well as party discipline and guidelines for aspirants of the upcoming Legislative and Municipal elections.

Speaking during the meeting, senior party supporter, Ntumfor Fru Jonathan, appealed to supporters to ensure respect of party hierarchy, give honour to whom it is due and also endeavour to adhere to the party guidelines.

Fru Jonathan reminded all and sundry that laws and instructions are laid down for the success of the party. He warned that supporters who deviate from such orders are only shooting the party in its legs and working towards failure.

The party official also used the opportunity to salute the renewed collaborative spirit, said to be gaining ground within the Section, as against disunity which had hitherto characterised ranks of the party in Santa.

Another party bigwig, Dr Chi Asafor, used the gathering to outline major conditions for supporters aspiring for elective roles in the upcoming elections.

He reminded supporters that they all are eligible to hold and or aspire for political positions under the party’s ticket. It was however made clear that all aspirants must be endorsed by the party and not the contrary.

At the end of the gathering, it was agreed that candidates will not be imposed without due consultation with the party at the base.

Over 70 supporters of the Social Democratic Front, SDF, and those of the National Union for Democracy and Progress, NUDP, who recently decamped from their political outfits to join the CPDM, were presented to supporters during the conference.

The decamped SDF and NUDP supporters said their political parties have been stalled and stagnant, leaving them with no choice but to join the winning party, the CPDM.

The new CPDM supporters were received by party bigwigs; Fru Jonathan, Dr Chi Asafor, alongside others who adorned them in the party's regalia and fabric.
