The Minister of Secondary Education, Prof Nalova Lyonga, has urged secondary school students in the country to leverage Artificial Intelligence, AI, for a greater and smarter expression of their limitless talent and creativity.

The minister made the call on March 12 in Kribi, Ocean Division of the South Region. This was during the official ceremony to launch the 33rd edition of Open Business Days for Technical and Vocational Secondary Education. The event was launched on the campus of GBTHS Kribi.

In attendance was the Secretary of State to the Minister of Secondary Education in charge of Teacher Training, Bayaola Boniface, as well as other top-ranking officials of the Ministry of Secondary Education and local dignitaries.

This year's theme: "Creativity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: From craftsmanship to high tech", officials said, was both timely and inspiring.

The theme, officials added, “reminds us of the importance of combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies to foster innovation, adaptability and progress in today's rapidly evolving world”.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Minister Nalova Lyonga reminded the students of the importance of leveraging Artificial Intelligence, AI.

She explained that: “As an entrepreneur, you have to produce what people want and not what is in your imagination. So, you have to measure and know that when I produce this, this or that person will need it. Because when you already have people in mind who can buy, you are in for good business”.

Minister Nalova Lyonga had used the Kribi event to remind the students of the competitive nature of the business world.

“You should know that there is competition. So, you have to be competitive. Don’t just produce for the sake of producing. Produce for the sake of making life easy for the people,” she added.

Artificial Intelligence with its speed, in one second will give you the number of people who have produced it and the prices sold. Artificial Intelligence helps to solve problems”.
