At Women’s Day fete: Okie Johnson says CSPH concretising Biya’s vision to empower women.

DG handed the victorious CSPH women’s football team one million FCFA

The Director General, DG, of the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilisation Fund, CSPH, Okie Johnson Ndoh, has stated that the Corporation is fully translating President Paul Biya’s vision of women empowerment into reality.

Okie Johnson Ndoh made the declaration in Yaounde on Sunday March 8, 2026. This was during an event organised to celebrate the 41st International Women’s Day.

CSPH female staff like their counterparts nationwide, celebrated the day under the theme: “Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls”.

The DG said the CSPH is strongly following the guidelines of President Biya by placing women at the heart of its operations.

He disclosed that women occupy over 40 major leadership positions at the CSPH, including that of Deputy Director General.

Okie also used the event to install some staff recently appointed at the institution. Before Sunday’s event, the structure had organised a crowd-pulling football match against the Deposits and Consignments Fund, CDEC.

CSPH women had as part of activities to mark the Day equally visited the Chantal Biya Foundation in Yaounde and the Bethany Viacam Humanitarian Center. During the visits, they showcased generosity and solidarity.

Embodying Biya’s orientation on women

Okie Johnson said he is proud of what the institution’s female staff demonstrated during the weeklong activities. He said the activities restated the institution’s position as a body that is fully translating President Biya’s orientation on empowering and valorising women and youth. This, he added, is by putting women at the heart of State agenda and actions.

According to the DG, women hold more than 40 leadership roles at the structure.

The Deputy Director General, Obam Diane Valérie and the President of CSPH Women’s Association, Ngono Ngono Myriam, coordinated activities.

“CSPH also has five female Directors, 11 female Sub Directors, 20 female Chiefs of Service and 24 female Bureau Heads. These figures eloquently translate the confidence bestowed on women in the institution,” the DG said.

He challenged the female staff to continue working hard and be proud Ambassadors of the Head of State’s guidelines.

Okie reiterated that the multiple activities that CSPH organised in the course of the week in the lead up to Sunday’s Women's Day celebration demonstrated the status of the structure’s female staff. He described them as symbols of excellence and guardians of society.

The DG saluted, “…the commitment, professionalism, and determination of our women, who on a daily basis actively contribute to the accomplishment of our missions and the sustained brand of our establishment”.

Cash prizes

He offered the women’s team that recorded a 4-1 victory over their peers of CDEC at last Wednesday’s friendly match, the sum of one million FCFA as encouragement and show of gratitude.

The DG also handed of 500,000 FCFA to the female staff who exhibited during the acclaimed cultural day last Thursday.

He said the talks that held as part of the activities, “helped to strengthen dialogue, facilitate the sharing of experiences, and promote the values of education, responsibility and excellence guided by the institution’s collective actions.”

Enter Deputy DG, women’s leader

The Deputy DG, Obam Diane Valérie, said the march past parade at the May 20th Boulevard, that was Presided by the First Lady, Chantal Biya, in which the CSPH women participated, was an opportunity for female staff to show their worth.

“It was not only a moment of sharing and exchange, but was also intended to show the rest of Cameroon that at the CSPH, we have women of value, formidable women, and extraordinary women,” the Deputy DG said.
