MAETUR details step-by-step guide to secure plots.

Head of the Regional Sales Office, Ngamougou Olga Madeleine, explaining procedure

The Urban and Rural Lands Development and Equipment Authority, MAETUR, has outlined the official step-by-step process for acquiring a plot from them.

In a video shared on social media, the Head of the Regional Sales Office of the Centre Delegation, Ngamougou Olga Madeleine, detailed how prospective buyers can secure commercial parcels through the State-owned housing developer.

The guidance sets out the administrative and on-site stages required before a parcel is formally allocated and sale documents are issued.

According to the Centre Regional Sales Office, strict adherence to the established procedure is required for any applicant seeking to obtain a lot.

The process begins when an interested party submits a request based on specific needs, particularly for commercial-use parcels.

Applicants are then provided with detailed information on the procedure and the plots currently available.

A presentation of the selected parcels is conducted at the office, allowing the prospective buyer to review options that correspond to their project requirements.

Following the initial presentation, an appointment is scheduled for a site visit which will involve the physical inspection of the parcels previously identified at the office.

This stage enables the applicant to confirm the choice made during the preliminary selection and to verify the effective availability of the plot on the ground.

Once the visit is completed, the procedure moves to the issuance of a commercial offer. The document specifies the selected parcel, its monetary value and the applicable terms and conditions of sale.

The offer also includes a response deadline within which the prospective buyer must indicate acceptance.

If the applicant responds within the stipulated timeframe, the allocation of the parcel is formally carried out. The placement confirms that the plot is reserved for the buyer in accordance with the agreed conditions.

After the allocation stage, MAETUR proceeds with the issuance of the official sale documents in favour of the new client. These documents formalise the transaction and mark the conclusion of the acquisition process.

Ngamougou indicated that compliance with each stage is essential to ensure transparency and proper management of available land stock.

According to Ngamougou, the structured approach is designed to guide applicants from initial enquiry through to final documentation, ensuring that commercial parcels are assigned in line with established procedures.

MAETUR is a public enterprise tasked with providing serviced and secure living environments for Cameroonian citizens.

The company develops and markets residential and commercial plots as part of its mandate to expand access to planned urban spaces.
