Lioness, Monique Ngock, joins French side, Fleury 91.

Ngock joins from Stade Reims where she spent three seasons

Cameroon international, Monique Ngock, has secured a move to French women’s first division championship team, Fleury 91 football club.

The Indomitable Lionesses midfielder joins the club from recently relegated French second-tier outfit, Stade Reims football club.

Fleury 91 confirmed the arrival of the 20-year-old former Éclair Football Filles star last Monday. She signed a one-year deal.

Ngock joins her compatriot and national team mate, Claudine Falone Meffoumetou at the Fleury 91 club.

The two Cameroonians are looking to be a key part of the club’s ambitious project for the 2025/2026 which is expected to be built on the promising 2024/2025 campaign that the outfit had.

Fleury finished 5th at the end of the 2024/2025 French women’s first division championship competition, a spot below the title playoff-bound top four bracket in the series.

Falone’s Meffoumetou’s contract at the club was extended to 2026 following the brilliant campaign. The club has since also added several other players as part of the ambitious revamp for next season.

Chance to boost career

At a personal level, the move to Fleury 91 is expected to help Ngock to further develop her career after facing difficult time in doing so while donning the colors of Stade Reims.

Ngock joined Stade Reims in 2022 from Éclair Football Filles. She has since bagged over 40 appearances for the club across all competitions.

She appeared in 20 of Stade Reims’ 22 league matches during the just concluded season. She scored once in the process.

The Cameroonian and the club were relegated to the French second division at the end of the 2024/2025 season after concluding the race sitting among the bottom-placed outfits on the final standing.

Stade Reims placed 11th in the 12-team competition, just above rock bottom Guingamp women’s football club. This was after Ngock and the club managed to harvest just 15points in 22 matches.

The ranking saw the Stade Reims club getting relegated to the inferior league alongside Guingamp women.

“I easily chose Fleury 91 because it is a team that is going to help me to grow as a player and enable me to attained my career targets,” Ngock told Fleury 91’s communication team shortly after she joined the club on Monday.
