Fako CPDM thanks Biya for creation of HTTC Buea.

It was chaired by the Head of the Fako Permanent Divisional Delegation of the CPDM Central Committee, who doubles as the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof Nalova Lyonga. 

The meeting was also an avenue for CPDM supporters in Fako, to assess the state of preparedness for upcoming elections and set strategies to ensure the party’s victory. 

Speaking at the event, Prof Nalova Lyonga urged party members to enroll massively on the electoral list ahead of crucial elections next year.

Talking about the creation of HTTC Buea, she said: “We have to be extremely happy”, adding that “it means that we will be able to train teachers who will work in our schools”.

“We are happy, and I am telling the people of Buea to live by the town’s slogan. Your slogan says you’re a town of friendship, which means that you all are people of friendship. We are all friends, we are all brothers and we have to know how to live with one another. If we have problems, as there are bound to be problems in every community and household, we are going to discuss ways of resolving these problems and get solutions,” Prof Nalova Lyonga added.

“That is why I am promising another meeting when we shall sit down and hear again more details of what is happening in the various houses,” she disclosed. 

Presidents of the seven CPDM Sections that make up Fako Division, during the meeting, took turns to present reports on party activities and efforts to boost voter registration in their respective areas.

The meeting was also attended among others, by Senator Charles Mbella Moki, Members of Parliament for Fako East Constituency, Hon Etombi Gladys and Hon Findi Stanley; Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome Ngale; the General Manager of the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC, Franklin Ngoni Njie.

Meanwhile, speaking to The Guardian Post, the YCPDM Fako 1A Section President, Ekema Roland Ngale, said the creation of HTTC Buea is testimony “beyond reasonable doubts that the Head of State, our National President, H.E Paul Biya, is a real father of Fako Division”. 

“The creation of a Higher Teachers Training College in Fako had been the cry for a very long time by the people of the Division, so we are very grateful. Through my humble voice as President of YCPDM Fako IA Section, we want to say a big Thank You, to our natural presidential candidate, H.E Paul Biya,” Ekema added. 

“That is why through the rallying prowess of Prof Nalova Lyonga, Minister of Secondary education, we gathered to appreciate what our president has done for Fako Division,” he noted.

CPDM overwhelming victory in 2025 

Meanwhile, the YCPDM Fako IA Section President, said his comrades are working toward giving President Biya an overwhelming victory at the 2025 presidential election, if he runs as a candidate.

“I want to tell all the youth that to whom much is given, much is expected. With all what our party National President has done for Fako, we will return the favour by giving him an overwhelming victory at the 2025 president election. I want to tell all the YCPDM Fako 1A supporters to mobilise, as always, to vote for our natural candidate, H.E Paul Biya, at the upcoming presidential election and all other elections in Cameroon. We are sure and very confident that in Fako 1A CPDM, we will win all all of next year’s elections by landslide,” he stated. 

As to the state of preparedness of YCPDM Fako 1A Section, for the upcoming elections, Ekema said they are up to date.

“With our mother, ‘Mami Fako’, the political bulldozer, H.E. Prof Nalova Lyonga, I can say with confidence that Fako CPDM in general and YCPDM Fako 1A Section in particular, are very prepared for the upcoming elections. We are transforming all our sympathisers to full-fledged supporters of the CPDM and getting all of them enrolled on the electoral register, with the help of our mother, Prof Nalova Lyonga,” Ekema added. 

At the end of the meeting, a motion of support was addressed to President Paul, expressing the Division’s gratitude for the creation of a Higher Teachers Training College, HTTC, in the University of Buea, among other laudable projects carried out within Fako Division. The motion of support was signed by over 500 CPDM party bigwigs and grassroots supporters in Fako.
