Strategic Business Consultant and Founder of the Cameroon Sustainable Development Project, CSDP, Rev Fru Roland, has stated that his organisation is out to transform the minds of young Cameroonians to focus more on creating the kind of sustainable future they want, and which will make them less dependent on the government.

In an interview granted The Guardian Post, Rev Fru revealed that CSDP is on a mission to train 3,000 Cameroonians in seven main industries that are transforming the global economy.

The Strategic Business Consultant, who is based in the United States of America, has outlined that the domains include agriculture, IT, renewable energy, real estate and construction, finance, health, media and entertainment.

The initiative, he said, will take about 20 years and will grossly increase the country’s Gross Domestic Product, GDP.

"These are the industries that are shaping the world today. If Cameroonians are trained in these industries, they will create businesses that will employ Cameroonians and also take our country out of poverty. This movement is one of the biggest I believe can work in this country, since the past 63 years, a movement where Francophones and Anglophones will be coming together for economic prosperity," Rev Fru said.

“If we can put money together for the past seven to eight years with zero government contribution to destroy our nation, we can also put our money together and build our nation,” he noted.

This, he added, will make Cameroonian youth to stop complaining and depending on the government all the time.

"We have heard the stories of government all the time. I think if the US has worked and almost everyone is willing to go there, then they have done something right. I believe that if we model the US in these seven industries, then we will come out of poverty and our nation will thrive," Rev. Fru added.

Rev. Fru has equally revealed that out of about 340 Cameroonians who joined CSDP in the last months, about 70 were selected into the institution’s Nation Builders University, an online university he created under the CSDP movement to train ambitious Cameroonians to get the right mindset, and be patriotic citizens.

The preacher said he had found out that the life expectancy of the average Cameroonian is about 60 years, compared to the life of an average American, which is 78 years.

“That means an average American lives 18 years longer than an average Cameroonian,” he mentioned.

Need for a one Cameroon

The Founder of CSDP also told The Guardian Post that the idea to create the organisation came into his mind in 2021 when he was thinking about the Anglophone conflict and also about the vulnerable young Cameroonians who are affected by the over seven-year armed conflict.

He added that CSDP is out to promote unity by training 3,000 Cameroonian youth in some seven main industries, despite their Regions of origin or tribes.

"I feel like we should move forward. History has happened and this is where we find ourselves. Let's look for a way to unite the nation and move forward and carve a compelling future. We can't keep fighting forever," Rev Fru added.

The CSDP Founder also disclosed that his organisation will soon go operational across the country.
