The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, has officially commissioned the newly constructed Government Bilingual Technical High School Nsam, in Yaounde.

The state-of-the-art structure, constructed with funding from the Islamic Development Bank, is estimated at 5.7 billion FCFA.
It was commissioned Tuesday during a heavily attended ceremony organised on the sparkling campus of the newly constructed technical college.
Besides the Prime Minister, who inaugurated the modern infrastructure on behalf of President Paul Biya, the ceremony was attended by several government ministers, diplomats and development partners.
They included the Ministers of Secondary Education, Prof Nalova Lyonga; Higher Education, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo; and his peer of Basic Education, Prof Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa.
The Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, Henri Eyebe Ayissi, was also in attendance.
Speaking while commissioning the structure, the PM said the structure was the fruit of President Biya’s policy, which has the professionalisation of education as a priority.
He said Government Bilingual Technical High School Nsam falls in line with the vision of the National Development Strategy which targets the education of young Cameroonians who are ready to fend for themselves and provide employment opportunities to other youths.
Speaking further, PM Dion Ngute instructed the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof Nalova Lyonga, to make sure that the newly constructed Government Bilingual Technical High School Nsam fulfils its mission of training many generations of Cameroonians who are able to create an impact in their communities.
He said the structure was a significant step in the promotion of the education sector in the country.
The PM took out several minutes to shower praises on the Islamic Development Bank for accepting to co-finance the project to the tune of 5.7 billion FCFA.
Dion Ngute told the students, staff and authorities of the institution that President Paul Biya has put education top priority in his governance policy.
He said government is resolutely determined to promote and develop secondary schools and colleges across the nation.
Turning to the elite of the area, PM Dion Ngute charged them to contribute towards the maintenance of the structure, which he described as a jewel.
“I will like to extend my sincere gratitude to His Excellency Paul Biya, for graciously designating me to preside over this significant event. I will also like to extend my words of encouragement to the Minister of Secondary Education and the local and administrative authorities for the meticulous arrangements made, ensuring the success of this momentous event,” he said.
