Taking services closer to customers: UBA Cameroon inaugurates newly constructed Maroua branch.

UBA Cameroon officials, alongside administrative authorities of Far North Region, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, inaugurated the newly constructed state-of-art branch of the financial institution in the town of Maroua. 

The move, which falls within the bank’s proximity banking approach, brings to eight, the number of Regions in the country, where the UBA has a presence.

This is after its branches in the North West Region-Bamenda; West Region-Bafoussam; South West Region-Limbe; Littoral Region-Douala; Centre-Region-Yaounde; South Region- Kribi and North Region-Garoua.

Commenting on the opening of the new branch, the Managing Director of UBA Cameroon, Jude Anele, expressed enthusiasm, noting that financial institution remains even more ready to make a significant contribution to economic growth, financial inclusion and prosperity in the country.

“We are convinced and certain that UBA's presence in the Far North Region and more precisely in Maroua, will contribute to the much-needed development we are all seeking,” Anele said. 

As a Pan-African bank that supports development, UBA, its officials said, through its 20 subsidiaries in Africa, provides excellent customer service and a wide range of products and services tailored to meet the needs of all its customers.

The financial institution, they added, is the bank of choice for businesses, government institutions, NGOs, SMEs and even individuals in the Far North Region. 

The financial institution, officials said, has products designed to meet the needs of all its customers, both those who are familiar with technology and those who are not. 

Officials added that from their offices, homes, shops or even in the field, with or without the internet, customers can carry out banking transactions simply by using their phones. 

All the customer has to do, officials added, is open a bank account with UBA and confirm for themselves.
