To implement multidisciplinary teachings: EIFORCES delegation embarks on study mission to Congo.

It is in fulfilment of its multidisciplinary teaching policy.

The traditional study missions, taking place this year in Brazzaville, began last June 9 and is expected to end June 16.  The EIFORCES delegation is led by its Director General, Brigadier General Bitote André Patrice.

The delegation is made up of 4 supervisors, 15 auditors of the 9th batch of Higher Diploma of Security Studies, BESS, and 16 trainees of the 12th Staff Diploma of Security Forces, DEMFS. 

The 36-man EIFORCES delegation was received by Colonel Ndongui Bellarmin, head of the organising committee of the visit.

Colonel Ndongui had reminded the visitors of the strategic position held by EIFORCES in the African training chain.

As a major partner of EIFORCES and strategic neighbour of Cameroon in Central Africa, Colonel Ndongui, said the Republic of Congo is a living testimony of significant developments in sub-regional integration as well as a pedagogical field in terms of security for learners. 

“This visit is a great opportunity for Congo, as it will give a boost to the ongoing process of reforming its internal security,” he stated. 

Going by the colonel, the mission is “very promising”, given the size of EIFORCES alumni in the country, which strong involvement opportunely strengthens the supervision aspect through the return of experience of those who, in the past, stood in as trainees.

The head of the EIFORCES delegation, on his part, said the study mission constitutes a niche that allows the trainees of the school, during their training programme, to confront the multidisciplinary teachings received with the realities on ground.

“As a unique security forces school, EIFORCES offers an opportunity for African integration and represents the first step in conflict resolution in Africa, providing an invaluable prerequisite for the peaceful resolution of the security issues that haunt African states,” Brigadier General Bitote said. 

Strengthened by its diplomatic commitment, the head of visiting delegation, reiterated that the school is the culmination of the African dream, and a representation of African independence and the consecration of strategic autonomy to which the continent aspires. 

“Thanks to EIFORCES, African states have been able to place internal security back at the centre of their increasingly epic and diverse security concerns,” he added.

At the end of the mission in the Congolese capital, the trainees of the 9^th batch of Higher Diploma of Security Studies will embarked on another study mission in Ottawa, Canada from June 17 to 24.
