He added that the distribution solution gives them the possibility to make clients even more visible.

"With Amos 17, the client is not only visible to our satellite but also on the SWECOM app available on Playstore, internet service through the ‘KO and Ku band’.  The client can now access satellite without spending on materials, interconnectivity…" he said.

Until now, SWECOM's image quality had suffered poor quality.

But with the new technology- Amos 17, they will now have access to several beams thus making their coverage and signals stronger.

Having been in the business of Cable distributor since 1998, SWECOM is said to have expanded its service offerings in 2010.

That year, it became the pioneer in the provision of internet and television services on a fiber optic network in Cameroon.

SWECOM has several metropolitan optical networks based on FTTx or Fiber Direct-to- the -Office technology.

This is a range of distribution points interconnected by fiber optics.

Thanks to its infrastructures, SWECOM can network remote sites from a few meters to several tens of kilometers, at guaranteed speeds of up to 1 Gbps.

It's coverage in Cameroon, spans across seven regions with 400 television channels in French, Chinese, Arabic, English and Lebanese.

Its management says, the current partnership, testifies to their constant commitment to offer services based on the latest technologies.

Going from Cable distributor to Internet Service Provider, SWECOM has over the years enriched its service offerings with" Video on Demand", site interconnection and finally satellite television.

Testifying to the improved service, Fr Nicolas Nanji of Divine Mercy Radio and Television, DMRTV noted that, the rights his channel has obtained from SWECOM, has enhanced the Church's ability to spread the gospel to souls who are not able to attend church services.
