CCA Bank official delivering talk at the session

CCA Bank and the Cameroon Union of Employers, GeCAM, have strengthened dialogue with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, SMEs operating in the country.

This was the focus of the recent “I Talk to My Banker” programme held in Douala. It held on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

It was organised with the support of CCA-Bank. The session focused on issues relating to business financing and support.

The programme was in its fourth edition, and the first organised with CCA-Bank as sponsor and partner. It brought together nearly one hundred SME executives and managers.

The session was aimed at providing a platform for direct exchanges between private-sector stakeholders and banking professionals, based on information, listening, and the search for responses tailored to the realities of businesses.

The meeting featured several key sessions including a presentation of CCA-Bank’s main solutions and offerings, discussions on the challenges businesses face in their day-to-day operations, a roundtable dedicated to participants’ concerns, followed by an open question-and-answer session.

To encourage practical discussions directly focused on businesses’ needs, CCA-Bank brought together several of its senior managers, each contributing expertise in their respective areas.

Walters Kouadeakeu, Director of Retail Banking; Guy Martin Mbah, Director of SMEs and Small and Medium-sized Industries; Stavensky Mbuda, Director of Digital Banking; Hassoumi Farikou, Director of Islamic Finance; Bapa Ba, Director of Leasing and Factoring; and Christian Mbia, Director of the Trade Desk, presented their respective areas of expertise and provided insights in response to the concerns raised by participants.

Beyond the presentation of banking products and services, the discussions highlighted several challenges faced by businesses in carrying out their activities.

Exchanges with CCA-Bank’s experts also provided an opportunity to explore various possible responses and solutions based on the needs expressed by participants.

The meeting concluded in a particularly friendly atmosphere, following direct and substantive exchanges between SME executives and CCA-Bank representatives.

The traditional group photo brought the session to a close, marking another step in a broader approach focused on proximity, financial education, and support for the private sector.

Through its participation in the “I Talk to My Banker” programme, CCA-Bank, said, it was reaffirming its commitment to contributing to a better understanding of financing mechanisms and banking solutions available to businesses, while creating opportunities for dialogue with economic stakeholders.

For the commercial bank, the initiative also represents a first step in the rollout of an educational programme of activities that CCA-Bank intends to develop around several key issues for businesses, particularly financing, digitalization, and support for business growth.

The approach, it has been said, reflects CCA-Bank’s commitment to positioning itself as a close partner to businesses and contributing, alongside organisations representing the private sector, to strengthening Cameroon’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
