Reliability, quality services: Musango Bus Services shines again.

Musango Bus Services Assistant Managing Director receiving prize

It is no surprise, Musango Bus Services, is in the spotlight again for its leadership position in the public transport sector.

In what is clearly understood as reaping the fruits of its unquestionable reliability and quality services, the renowned inter-urban transport company, was Saturday September 19, 2026, declared winner of the prestigious Most Reliable Transport Service Provider prize.

The Buea-headquartered transport agency bagged the distinction at the well-attended 3rd edition of Cameroon English Language Newspaper Publishers Association, CENPA Award Night.

The ceremony took place at the Andre Siaka Hall, GeCAM, in Douala.

The leading transport bus agency, with a youthful leadership, headed by Dinga Derick Gasah as Managing Director, MD, was called to the podium amidst thunderous applause.

Organisers of the award, said Musango Bus Services was conferred the distinction in recognition of its outstanding performance, friendly customer service and contribution to transport and logistic sectors in Cameroon.

The jury said Musango Bus Services was singled out “for consistently prioritising safe, accessible, and comfortable road travel and embracing modern digital transformation; exemplified by its dedicated mobile ticketing application, streamlined parcel tracking and customer-first scheduling.”

Committed to do more…

In an acceptance speech during Saturday’s ceremony, Musango Bus Services Finance Director/ Assistant Managing Director, Franklin Kendoh Abonge, said the transport agency is humbled by the distinction. Kendoh said the distinction is a motivation for them to work even harder.

He described the trust bestowed in the company by its valued clients as being “heavier than any trophy.”

Kendoh said “…for CENPA, a body that upholds truth and credibility in this nation, to say we have honoured that trust is the greatest encouragement we could receive.”

Speaking on safety measures put in place by Musango Bus Services, Kendoh noted that: “We believe that no journey is worth a life. Reliability begins with the discipline to say a bus will not move until it is safe. This award belongs to our drivers, our mechanics, hostesses, conductors, and our terminal managers who enforce that discipline daily, even when it is difficult.”

Commenting on comfort and accessibility, the Assistant Managing Director, said: “To travel across Cameroon should not be a punishment. We have tried to restore dignity on road travel. Clean and comfortable seats, respectful interaction with our passengers and customers, are part of that mission.”

He said Musango Bus Services understood early enough that the future of transport is not just on the road, but on the phone and the internet.

“Our mobile ticketing app, our parcel tracking system, and our customer-first scheduling, were not created to be fashionable, but to be faithful, to give our customers control over their time and peace of mind,” he explained.

“This award is not a finish line. In many ways, it is a challenge. It challenges us to be even more reliable tomorrow than we were yesterday. Therefore, I dedicate this award to: First, to our loyal customers across the South West, Centre, North West, West, Littoral Regions and beyond,” he continued.

Why Musango Bus Services is dominating the market

Road transportation in Cameroon is currently fraught with many significant problems that make inter-city travel unbearable for the average passenger.

Unlike air transport, where services are technology-enabled, most road transport companies in Cameroon operate via largely manual processes.

As such, there’s a lack of orderly process to acquire bus tickets, while commuters often have to wait long hours at bus stations for the buses to get filled up. Those are in addition to inconsistent ticket pricing systems.

But as an indigenous company founded by the late Andrew Motanga Mojimba, a native of Limbe, officials of Musango are familiar with these problems.

Currently considered the undisputed leader in the sector, Musango Bus Services has since opted for the digitalisation of its operations.

Years back, the company launched an online ticketing solution, allowing travellers to search for trips and compare fare prices from different transport companies, as well as make cashless payments in advance of a trip.

Through the application available on the website of the company, passengers book trips and buy tickets online from the comforts of their bedrooms.

Musango has come a long away…

When Musango Bus Services entered the market nearly 20 years ago, bookmakers wrote them off, given the overcrowded nature of the road transport sector.

But in just two decades in the market, the company has positioned itself as a leader, creating and beating own records.

Without any iota of exaggeration, Musango Bus Services is one of the largest providers of inter-city and inter-region transportation, serving more than seven destinations across Cameroon.

The high-flying company has been serving its customers with topnotch services through its modern and environmentally-friendly vehicles.

The company prides itself with providing time-conscious departures, as well as safe, enjoyable and affordable travel services to millions of passengers annually.

Musango Bus Services, which is well known for its regularly scheduled passenger service, also provides a number of other services for its customers, including package delivery to numerous destinations in Cameroon.
