With six million followers across social media: Petermic emerges as major force in digital entertainment.

Tubuo Peter Ayagha aka Petermic

Renowned Cameroonian content creator and versatile entertainer, Petermic, is expanding his flourishing entertainment brand through a new influencer partnership with YellowBet Cameroon. The deal comes amid his rising influence and growing popularity across the country’s vibrant digital entertainment industry.

With a reported combined audience of more than six million followers across TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, Petermic ranks among the country’s most-followed English-speaking content creators. His fast-growing TikTok account alone has accumulated more than three million followers.

Born Tubuo Peter Ayagha, the dynamic entertainer is popularly known as Petermic and Mr Mimick. The YellowBet partnership, concluded in September 2026, has added another significant commercial chapter to the career of the comedian, musician and entrepreneur. His distinctive celebrity impersonations have attracted audiences in Cameroon, Nigeria and other African markets.

Under the proposed YellowBet partnership, Petermic is expected to produce creative branded videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels. The arrangement also covers supporting social-media posts, reposting, audience engagement, campaign reporting and the promotional use of his content. The collaboration follows Petermic’s remarkable transition from aspiring footballer to celebrated celebrity impersonator and influential digital entertainer.

From Njinikom to China

Petermic was born on January 2, 1994, in Njinikom, North West Region. He is the son of renowned Cameroonian folklore artist Afoakom, now known as Prince Yerima.

Despite growing up in a rich creative environment, Petermic initially pursued a career in football. After studying Building and Construction, he played in Cameroon before moving to China in 2015 to continue his promising football journey.

His sporting ambitions were disrupted by an injury in 2018. He subsequently turned to dancing and online video production, gradually developing the captivating celebrity impersonations that would establish his distinctive digital identity.

Petermic built his entertaining content around the voices, facial expressions, mannerisms and recognisable habits of prominent entertainment personalities.

His breakthrough came in 2021 when videos impersonating Nigerian stars, including Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage and Davido, attracted widespread attention. Some of the celebrities featured in the videos helped circulate the content and exposed his creative work to wider audiences beyond Cameroon.

Nigerian collaborations expand audience

Petermic later spent about two years in Nigeria, where he established links with established entertainers and popular digital personalities operating in one of Africa’s largest and most competitive entertainment markets.

His collaborations included appearances with Sabinus, Mr Macaroni, Real Warri Pikin, Mike Ezuruonye, Brain Jotter, Zic Aloma and Sirbalo. The high-profile collaborations increased his cross-border visibility and helped position Mr Mimick as a recognisable online personality among audiences familiar with Nigerian comedy and entertainment.

After returning to Cameroon in 2023, Petermic embarked on an extensive media tour to strengthen his presence in the country. He appeared on leading television platforms, including CRTV, Canal 2 International and Vision 4, among others. The appearances enabled him to announce his return and showcase the body of creative work he had developed abroad.

He has since collaborated with prominent Cameroonian entertainers such as Magasco, Ulrich Takam and Black Oya. Petermic also appeared with a group of Northwest artists on Magasco’s Culture & Money.

Comedy, music, entrepreneurship

Petermic expanded his versatile creative portfolio in September 2025 by releasing two songs. My People was released on September 26, followed by Paw Paw on September 27.

The releases added music to a multifaceted career already spanning comedy, dance, celebrity mimicry, digital promotion and commercial brand partnerships.

Away from online entertainment, the enterprising content creator has also moved into entrepreneurship through Mr Mimick’s Corner, a barbershop venture in Yaounde. The business has extended his recognisable entertainment identity beyond social media into a physical commercial venture.

Petermic has also received a nomination for Best Web Content Creator of the Year at the Cameroon Music Entertainment Awards. The recognition adds to his expanding profile as a creative entertainer whose journey has moved from football and celebrity mimicry to music, entrepreneurship and commercial influencing.
