For promoting youth entrepreneurship: Ntarinkon Credit Union GM recognised in US.

The highly venerated Ntarinkon Credit Union GM was among honorees of the 2026 edition of the Outstanding Cameroon Diaspora Global Awards.

Held on Saturday August 15, 2026, the awards, an initiative of the United Council for Youth Empowerment, UCYE International and the Cameroon Diaspora Youth Network, CDYN, is a major international gathering, dedicated to recognising outstanding Cameroonians and friends of Cameroon, whose leadership, professional excellence, humanitarian service, entrepreneurship, cultural contributions, and community engagements continue to make a meaningful impact around the world.

Supported by the Cameroon ministries of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Youth Affairs and Civic Education, External Relations, Cameroon Embassy of Washington DC and the Cameroon Customs Department, the event brought together distinguished members of the Cameroonian diaspora, diplomats, government representatives, traditional leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, journalists, healthcare professionals, humanitarian leaders, youth advocates, community organisations, and emerging young leaders.

According to organisers, the Outstanding Cameroon Diaspora Global Award, was established to recognise the extraordinary contributions of Cameroonians and diaspora partners who are helping to build stronger communities, create opportunities, preserve cultural identity, promote national unity, and strengthen Cameroon’s international presence.

The 2026 edition placed particular emphasis on youth leadership, women's empowerment, entrepreneurship, humanitarian service, healthcare, education, cultural diplomacy, media, civic engagement, innovation, and community development.

Why Ade Divine Muma was recognised 

The applause, it should be said, was loudest Saturday August 15, 2026, when Ade Divine Muma, who sits atop the management of the Ntarinkon Credit Union, was declared winner of a special prize for his role in promoting youth entrepreneurship at home and abroad.

Organisers of the highly-revered global awards explained that Ade Muma bagged the distinction due to his exceptional dedication, outstanding contributions and exemplary commitment to serving the Cameroonian community and promoting youth entrepreneurship.

They added that Ade Muma was also being recognised for his vital support towards the success of the Cameroon Diaspora Youth Network initiatives, particularly during the Outstanding Cameroon Diaspora Global Awards 2026.

The award, many say, didn’t come much as a surprise. A high- flying entrepreneur and banking expert, Ade Muma has previously bagged similar awards in the country.

His current tenure as General Manager of Ntarinkon Credit Union has been nothing short of a towering success. 

Under Ade Muma’s watch, Ntarinkon Credit Union has witnessed exponential growth. 

The credit union, with branches spread almost all over the national territory, now counts more than 120,000 members. 

Under his leadership, Ntarinkon Credit Union, as part of its drive to power economic growth, in 2025 alone, pumped in a whopping 52 billion FCFA to support businesses in the country, especially those initiated by young Cameroonians.

Ade Muma; born to excel

Ade Divine Muma, it must be mentioned, is not a product of accidental success. Ade Muma who has been key to Ntarinkon Credit Union’s growth, is a man of merit, with a rare academic and professional pacour. 

He holds a B.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the University of Buea; Higher Diploma in Business Administration from the London School of Commerce and Master of Business Administration, MBA in Finance from the University of Wales Institute, London.

Ade Muma has dispensed knowledge in most higher institutions of learning in Cameroon and beyond.

From the University of Bamenda, UBa to the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management, Ade Muma has remained a unique resource person. 

Ade Muma is a former credit analyst of the Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League-CamCCUL. 

He remains reputed nationwide and beyond for his efficacy in service.  At CamCCUL, Ade Muma was the backbone of most Credit Union Managers and League Board, when he served there.

In 26 years within the leadership rank of the Ntarinkon Cooperative Credit Union, NtaCCUL, Ade Muma, has remained a unique growth catalyst.

 He served as head of the Lending Department of NtaCCUL between 2002 and 2010. 

His exploits earned him promotion in July 2011, to the post of Head of Finance Control and Supervision Department of NtaCCUL. 

He held that position until February 2013, when he was named General Manager of NtaCCUL. Thirteen years on as General Manager, the story of NtaCCUL has remained attractive, rallying and massive. 

At the heart of the beautiful story is the dogged commitment and miracle foresight of Ade Divine Muma. Earlier this year, he was honored as the "Most Innovative, Creative & Digitally Savvy General Manager of the Decade". 

The distinction was conferred on him in Yaounde, during the Decennial Trendsetters Award Night, organised by The Voice newspaper.

In 2022, Ade Muma won the Best Microfinance General Manager, GM, award. The NtaCCUL GM had bagged the prize at the 2022 edition of The Herald Tribune Excellence Awards that held in Bamenda.
