Completion of Mbot palace project: Ta Shey Njingti Augustine rallies indigenes, others to raise additional 40M FCFA.

The additional sum, which will go a long way to fast-track the completion of the vital facility, was raised during separate gatherings in Bafoussam and Douala recently. 

Last Saturday's Douala gathering, it was stated, was not just to raise the additional sum but to celebrate the victory of unity and love for Mbot village.

As disclosed by the General President of Mbot Village Development Authority, MVDA, Taa Nformi Ngwatu Emmanuel, their elite and development promoter, Ta Shey Njingti Augustine, has on all fronts being a vital lifeline to the project. 

This, Taa Nformi Ngwatu explained, has been through the huge and matchless financial contribution of contribution of Ta Shey Njingti Augustine to the Mbot palace project.

Going by his estimates, Ta Shey Njingti Augustine has singlehandedly contributed more than half of the amount needed for the project.

The state-of-the-art palace project, it should be said, has so far consumed over 80 million FCFA. The project, upon completion, is estimated to cost at least 130 million FCFA upon completion. 

Aside pumping in a huge sum to power the ongoing project, Ta Shey Njingti Augustine, we also gathered, has been on a mobilisation spree, galvanising friends of the community to come on board and lend a hand for the project to be realised within the shortest time possible. 

Other living forces of Mbot village who have also actively engaged in the globe wide fundraising are Ta Shey Ntoh Shey Bruce, Taa Nformi Engr. Njonjo Alvan, Senior Prince and President Emeritus, Manjong Heliary, Taa Nformi Tata Godlove, Ta Lamntang Nganyu Roland, and Taa Nformi Nghari, among others. 

Enter Ta Shey Njingti Augustine: Inspiring community developer 

Aside his key role in the palace project, Ta Shey Njingti Augustine has been a transformative grassroots developer for years, piloting and powering schemes that continue to put smiles on the faces of many, especially the indigenes of Mbot village.

As initiator of the Mbot palace project, Ta Shey Njingti Augustine has promised to power the project until its completion. 

As an active member of Mbot Village Development Authority, MVDA, Ta Shey Njingti Augustine has taken issues that concern the village at heart. 

Ta Shey Njingti, going by indigenes of Mbot village, is among the very few individuals who have a rare blend of vision, humility, and unwavering devotion to the development of Mbot village. 

The community developer, with undying commitment to community advancement, is considered a torchbearer of the renaissance of Mbot village. He continues to propel the community toward a brighter future.

As the brain and purse behind the historic edifice, Ta Shey Njingti Augustine is helping to redefine the cultural and architectural identity of Mbot, for generations to come. 

The palace building, many say, is a symbol of unity, pride, and continuity, and an anchor for the heritage of a Wimbum village.

Palace project to be completed December 

Speaking to The Guardian post after the Douala fundraising over the weekend, General President of Mbot Village Development Authority, MVDA, Taa Nformi Ngwatu Emmanuel, expressed immense gratitude to all sons and daughters and friends of the village for supporting the project.

“I am proud to be a president of that Mbot Village Development Authority. My call was received and the reaction was equal to the call that I made,” he stated. 

He disclosed that “more than 90% of the money has been given by sons and daughters of Mbot”. He assured all and sundry that the project will be completed by December this year.

“…by the end of December, I am handing the keys of that palace to the Royal Highness the Paramount Fon of Mbot,” he stated. 

Taa Nformi Ngwatu Emmanuel assured sons and daughters of Mbot to worldwide that confidence bestowed on him to pilot the affairs of the development authority will get back to them tenfold. 

“Every franc that you have contributed for this project will be accounted for. I am not going to fail your trust,” he said. 

He pledged that Mbot community will in return support other communities that have stood by the village during their own development projects. 

It should be noted that the minimum contribution set for every son and daughter of Mbot for the palace construction project is 15,000 FCFA.
