At meeting with Prime Minister: German business delegation explores opportunities in agro-industry, energy, infrastructure.

The audience was also attended by the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Achille Bassilekin III, and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Paul Tasong.

The talks focused on strengthening economic cooperation and identifying new areas for investment and partnership. The Secretary General of the association, Andreas Jahn, said discussions centrered on Germany’s engagement in the country and future prospects for cooperation. 

He said the delegation is seeking ways to deepen existing relations and create new opportunities for collaboration. 

“We are a delegation of around thirty entrepreneurs who have come for PROMOTE and for the Cameroon-Europe Forum. The discussion focused on how we can put concrete initiatives on track,” Jahn stated.

He said the association intends to build on existing achievements to further strengthen economic cooperation and increase the presence of German businesses. 

Priority sectors identified by the delegation include agro-industry, renewable energy, infrastructure, industrial transformation, technology and vocational training.

The planned areas of cooperation are aimed at increasing economic exchanges between German and local businesses while promoting long-term partnerships considered beneficial to both sides. 

The association represents a large network of enterprises, including around 900,000 members, among them approximately 30,000 SMEs and family-owned businesses operating across a range of sectors.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister assured the visiting delegation that the country remains open to foreign investment and is prepared to provide the necessary support and facilities for investors.
