The M’muock Cooperative Credit Union Ltd, M’muockCCUL, has unveiled an ambitious people-centered development and growth vision for 2026.

Codenamed: “Growing Together, Securing the Future”, the vision was unwrapped during the credit union’s 14th Annual General Meeting, AGM.

The gathering took place in Dshchang, Menoua Division of the West Region on Sunday, February 1.

Officials said the vision reflects the credit union’s determination to consolidate its financial strength, deepen technological innovation, and place members and communities at the heart of its operations.

Among officials at the AGM was the Board President, Tita Cletine; the General Manager, Board Members, and members drawn from across the union’s branches.

Under the vision, the Board President said M’muockCCUL aims to become a more resilient, technologically driven, and member-focused, expanding access to quality financial services while strengthening community development across Cameroon.

Tita said a major priority is membership growth, with the credit union targeting a broader, more active, and loyal membership base.

This, he added, will be supported by an aggressive savings mobilization strategy.

Tita said the strategy is designed to promote a sustainable savings culture among members, ensuring long-term financial stability.

In line with changing member needs, M’muockCCUL, he added, plans to diversify and improve its products and services, offering more responsive and innovative financial solutions, especially tailored to farmers, traders, students, and small business owners.

The credit union, the Board President added, will also continue its strong focus on micro-credit empowerment, providing accessible loans that uplift rural and underserved communities.

Key undertakings for 2026, he stated, include the Integrated Programme for the Development and Processing of Agricultural and Agri-food Products, TRANSFRAGRI “…Project pilot phase of which M’muockCCUL is a beneficiary, amongst two other credit unions within the CAMCCUL network.

Members contracted loans via the project funding mechanism for their Agi business activities”.

Tita also said free seminars and education of members on agricultural digitalization are ongoing.

The project, he detailed, “will obviously exceed the pilot phase because all relevant tools for its implementation and continuity like the CAGRIB platform have been developed”.

Human capital development, he added, remains a cornerstone of the vision. Through staff recycling and capacity building, M’muockCCUL, the Board President stated, is committed to nurturing a professional, skilled, and motivated workforce capable of delivering excellent service.

On infrastructure, the president said the credit union plans to upgrade existing office facilities and expand operations to the Littoral region, bringing cooperative banking closer to all members and the public.

“Our dream is to expand services far and wide. Our next stop is Littoral Region, where members' needs drive our growth. We are exploring feasibility for collecting centers, bringing services closer to members. Expectations are that, we shall realize base on field feasibilities,” Tita declared.

2025 achievements of M’muockCCUL

The bold vision of 2026, it was said, is built on a solid performance recorded in 2025.

The Union, officials said, scored 13 out of 14 COBAC prudential norms, reduced loan delinquency by 2%, and upheld member welfare through the payment of 5% dividends on shares and 4% interest on savings.

This, officials noted, was attained despite heavy investments in establishing new branches in Santa and Dschang.

Membership, they added, also surged, with over 600 new accounts registered, pushing total membership beyond 4,000 across all branches.

A landmark achievement, reports presented at the meeting, indicates, was the TRANSFAGRI Project. It is a 100 million FCFA agricultural digitalisation and innovative farming contract, implemented with support from Apex body CamCCUL.

The project according to management, empowered farmers in the Irish potato value chain through free training via Farmers Business Schools.

The credit union authorities noted that the project helped hundreds of members to turn agriculture into real businesses.

With seven branches spanning the headquarters in Mbelenka, Alou Subdivision, Lebialem Division; Letteh-Marita, Wabane Subdivision; Dschang, Santa, Bamenda, Buea, and Yaounde, and offering over 21 free banking services, the management of M’muockCCUL said the Union’s growth will determine what members will benefit in future.
