Dr Jerry Yonga

United States-based Cameroonian global professor and IT expert, Dr Jerry Yonga, has published a series of books to optimise the use of Artificial Intelligence, AI in Cameroon and beyond.

The books available on Amazon, target specific themes, providing counsel on how Artificial Intelligence could be best put into practice.

Through one of the books, titled: “Is AIO a Replacement for PMO? Strategies for Adopting AI in Project Management-Driven Organisations”, Dr Jerry Yonga introduces
Artificial Intelligence Optimization, AIO, as a practical alternative to Project Management Offices, PMO.

The book explains how AI-driven systems can improve planning, monitoring, and accountability by using data instead of bureaucracy.

Written for executives, project managers, and public-sector
leaders, the book helps institutions ask the right questions before adopting AI and avoid costly mistakes.

According to the author, the book is especially relevant for government agencies, NGOs, universities, and private
companies seeking efficiency and transparency in a fast-changing digital economy.

For its part, “From Triage to Trust: How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming Healthcare, One Decision at a Time”, explores how artificial intelligence can support — not replace — doctors,
nurses, and caregivers.

Drawing from real experiences in African clinics and Western hospitals, Dr Yonga, through the book shows how AI can assist with patient triage, decision support, and data management while respecting dignity and ethics.

The book emphasises trust, compassion, and cultural understanding, making it ideal for healthcare workers, policymakers, and students in medicine, nursing, and public health.

Best paths to take for user

Another titled “On Becoming an AI Expert: A Journey of Mastery and Meaning” offers a different path to the use of AI.

The book teaches artificial intelligence fundamentals in plain language while emphasising values, responsibility, and purpose. It encourages learners to see AI not just as code, but as a tool
shaped by human choices.

According to Dr Yonga, the book is ideal for students, educators, and professionals transitioning into tech. The book positions Cameroonian learners as global contributors, not passive consumers of technology.

Similarly, in yet another publication titled: “Mastering Artificial Intelligence: A Global Guide to Innovation and Opportunity”Dr Yonga presents AI as a global equaliser — a technology
that can empower Africa’s youth if used wisely.

The book covers AI foundations, real-world applications, ethics, and career pathways, with a strong focus on education, healthcare, agriculture, and sustainability.

It speaks directly to students, teachers, and policymakers seeking to position Cameroon for the digital future. Rather than portraying AI as foreign or unreachable, the book frames it as a local opportunity with global impact.

Meanwhile, in the book titled “Leading from the Grassroots: How Coaching and Culture Taught Me What Business Schools Couldn’t”, Dr Yonga reflects on leadership learned through community work, youth coaching, and cross-cultural experiences.

The book highlights values such as humility, teamwork, discipline, and service — qualities deeply rooted in African societies.

The author says the book is particularly useful for teachers, school administrators, community leaders, and young entrepreneurs who want to lead with integrity rather than authority alone.
