Gospel minister, Lesline, raising funds for orphanage talent hunt.

Award-winning gospel artist, philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the YuAfrika Soul Center, Ewimbong Lesline Ndoh aka Lesline has begun raising funds for her Orphanage Talent Hunt event.
The talent hunt will take place Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Women Empowerment Centre in Mile I, Limbe, Fako division of the South West region.
Speaking to The Guardian Post, Lesline said “growing up as a child to a widowed mother in a community that does not support talent ignited my passion for the vulnerable”.
Her organisation she added: “After the birth of YuAfrika in 2019, we started off with five orphanages which we have visited in two years to offer counseling, support, and entertain the children”.
Over the years, she stated that, “we have noticed a common trend of ‘giving fish’ to these children, and so we want to change the narrative by ‘teaching them how to fish’”.
Her vision, she said, is to “identify talents in craft, music, dancing, and arts of any kind for these kids, followed by a boot camp on empowerment, talent acquisition development and self-branding”. The show, she stated, will be crowned by a shared meal with orphans”.
Lesline went on to appeal for partners so together they could help in solving the SDG2, SDG 17 which remains a vital element. “We look forward to any call for partnership and sponsors.
Ewimbong hails from Wum in the North West region. She is the last child in a family of two girls. She said, she lost her dad when she was just nine months old. Dislcosed having been raised by her Mum who is a teacher and pastor.
In 2012, Ewimbong started up the Champions Gospel Band an Interdenominational Band alongside some friends.
In 2013, she won her first award during an inter-school competition and emerged ALCEF Queen. In 2015, she was a finalist at the MUTZIGSTAR competition and emerged 5th position.
In 2016, Ewimbong took part in the The Voice Afrique Francophone singing competition. Her enactment of Moni Bile’s hit song Osi Tapa Lambo during the blind auditions made her an overnight sensation across Africa and the battle with Elsa in Round 2 was one of the most debated in the TV show’s history.
In 2017, she won the Cameroon Green Music Competition sponsored by the United Nations Environmental Program, UNDP. She is currently the Environment Ambassador for Cameroon.
She is also a social justice activist. She released a special song on World Peace Day titled “Stand 4 Peace” in collaboration with other Cameroonian musicians like Blaise B, Ewube and Malgic.
