Award-winning gospel artist, philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the YuAfrika Soul Center, Ewimbong Lesline Ndoh aka Lesline has begun raising funds for her Orphanage Talent Hunt event.

Speaking to The Guardian Post, Lesline said “growing up as a child to a widowed mother in a community that does not support talent ignited my passion for the vulnerable”.

Her organisation she added: “After the birth of YuAfrika in 2019, we started off with five orphanages which we have visited in two years to offer counseling, support, and entertain the children”.

Over the years, she stated that, “we have noticed a common trend of ‘giving fish’ to these children, and so we want to change the narrative by ‘teaching them how to fish’”.

Her vision, she said, is to “identify talents in craft, music, dancing, and arts of any kind for these kids, followed by a boot camp on empowerment, talent acquisition development and self-branding”. The show, she stated, will be crowned by a shared meal with orphans”.
