Essame Noelle is Miss Heritage Cameroon 2023.

Essame Noelle Gwladys Sheilla has been elected Miss Heritage Cameroon 2023. She was elected during a competition that brought together 10 other contestants in Yaounde.



A ceremony to award the crown to the beauty pageant took place over the weekend at the National Museum.

Essame said her new position is an opportunity to fly high the rich cultural heritage of the country and make the voice of minority groups count. She went on to thank all those who supported her through the competition.

According to the initiator of the contest, Ludovick Frank Oundi aka Buenavista Alcantara De Sotomayor, the aim is to promote the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Cameroon.

The contest, Oundi also said, seeks to put the rich cultural heritage of Cameroon at the centre of development.

“We want to protect the heritage and the only way to do this is to preserve for future generations, Oundi said, adding that: “We have a fascinating story that we must tell and the various customs, cultures and traditions that we must teach,”

The crown of Miss Heritage Cameroon, he said has always been special, unique and different during each edition. He said, the committee always ensures the crown to represents the Africanness and the cultural diversity of the country.

Quizzed on the originality of the crown of Miss Heritage 2023, he explained that, “the crown is a mix of symbols of powers from all the cultural areas of Cameroon. We dare to hope that this year's wreath lives up to your expectations”.
