Orange Cameroun rewards long-time subscribers.

Cash prize winner receiving his reward

Telecoms giant, Orange Cameroun, has once again placed customer loyalty at the heart of its end-of-year celebrations, unveiling a festive campaign marked by extraordinary prizes, including cars, cash, travel packages and branded gifts, running from November 2025, to February 2026.

Last November 27, 2025, Orange Cameroun presented to general public in Douala, some of the winners since the start of the campaign. Among them is Roger Vincent Ekane, a subscriber who has been with the company for 21 years and who recently walked away with a brand-new vehicle.

Ekane, visibly overwhelmed by emotion, recounted the unexpected moment his life changed.

According to Ekane, he had simply continued his routine phone credit purchases as he had done for years, using the code #111*1#.

Ekane said he often buys call and data bundles for his children, his spouse, and other acquaintances, something he did not consider remarkable enough to attract such a prize.

“I have been an Orange customer for 21 years. When they told me I had won, I was shocked. I kept wondering what I had done to deserve a car,” he explained.

Ekane explained that the news first reached him in the form of an avalanche of phone calls. Between 2:30p.m. and 3p.m.

He reportedly received more than 100 calls from unknown people telling him he had won a vehicle. Confused, Ekane said he even suspected misinformation. “I was in my village, in a meeting. I really did not believe it,” he said.

It was only the following day, between 8:30a.m. and 9a.m. that the confirmation came directly from Orange Cameroun about his win.

Ekane recalls receiving a call from a female Orange Cameroun official who officially informed him that he had indeed won a car.

“I was touched, truly emotional. I kept asking myself how something like this could happen to me,” he said.

Ekane was then invited to the Orange Cameroun Makepe branch for further details and formalities.

Just like Ekane, many other people have been award prizes by Orange Cameroun. For sports lovers, it was received with particular emotions. Didier, a diehard fan of Cameroon's Indomitable Lions won an all-expenses-paid trip to support them in Morocco for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, scheduled to kick off on December 21.

Later same day, he was greeted with applause from the marketing department, including the Marketing Director himself, as he explained.

Orange Cameroun officials say the campaign is part of a long-standing tradition of rewarding their most loyal and active customers during the festive period.

According to the Trade Marketing Manager at Orange Cameroun, Bafon Augustine, the end-of-year season is synonymous with generosity and sharing.

“Every year, during the festive season, Orange engages in a tradition of giving back to its loyal customers,” he explained.

The campaign runs from November to February and offers a wide range of prizes, from cars and smart TVs to millions of francs CFA.

To qualify, customers must subscribe or interact with key Orange services, including the dialing the code #111*1#*, Orange Money via #150#, and the Max It mobile application.

Bafon emphasised that this year’s edition is particularly exceptional as multiple automobile partners are participating, offering an even greater variety of vehicles.

The Communication Manager for Orange Money, Steve Zogo, added that the initiative aims to bring joy to families at the end of the year, comparing Orange to Santa Claus delivering surprises.

“Customers can win trips to the AFCON, football jerseys, cash prizes, and especially beautiful SUVs. All they need to do is continue using Orange Money for their daily purchases and payments,” he explained.

Apart of Orange Cameroun faithful customers who turned out in their numbers to witness the ceremony live, authorities and personalities also graced the occasion, with Cameroon's legendary defender, Rigobert Song, answering present and adding the sportsmanship spirit to the occasion.
