To boost scientific skills among youth: Organisation of Islamic Cooperation launches National STEM campaign.

According to organisers, the campaign forms part of OIC-COMSTECH’s broader strategy to promote scientific and technological cooperation among member states and to build the technical capacities of young people within the Islamic world.
This activity, conducted in Kousseri in the Far North Region of the country, embodied  the vision and unwavering commitment of  Samira Ramatou, the OIC-COMSTECH Ambassador, whose leadership has continued to drive efforts toward empowering youth through science, technology, and innovation.
Besides that, the STEM/OIC-COMSTECH programme sought  to raise awareness among young people about the challenges and opportunities in science and technology while encouraging them to pursue careers in related fields. 
The initiative featured hands-on workshops, competitions, and training sessions for both students and teachers.
Early results from the campaign have been encouraging. Participating students have shown strong enthusiasm for science and technology, seizing the opportunity to explore the prospects offered through the OIC-COMSTECH initiative.
Teachers, on their part, received training that enhanced their understanding of the importance and potential of STEM education in national development.
The excitement observed among students in Kousseri observers said,  highlights Cameroon’s vast reservoir of young talent—capable of innovation and contributing to the sustainable development of the Islamic world when inspired and supported.
