October 12 poll: Babessi CPDM says solidly behind Moh Sylvester's boss, Biya.

CPDM adherents in Babessi marching in support of President Biya

Supporters of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement, CPDM, party in Babessi, Ngoketundjia Division of the North West Region, say for the confidence bestowed on one of theirs, Moh Sylvester- Director General of Treasury, Financial and Monetary Cooperation, by President Biya, the latter deserves their 100% support at the October 12 presidential election.

The people of Babessi made the promise on Tuesday, October 7, during the launch of CPDM campaigns in the Subdivision. The exercise was flagged off by the CPDM Coordinator for Ngoketunjia, Prof Uphie Chinje.

This was in the presence of grassroots CPDM leaders and a cross section of supporters and sympathisers of the ruling party in the area.

Speakers at the ceremony stated that due to the confidence the Head of State has for Babessi sons and daughters, coupled with an overflow of development projects realised, they can't afford not to reciprocate the love shown by President Paul Biya. They were unanimous that President Biya deserves another mandate.

According to a member of the campaign team, Nganjo Mama, Babessi is a bastion of the CPDM. Nganjo said as pioneer Youth President of the Ngoketunjia III Section, under the pioneer Section President, the late Pa Nyoh, he can attest that Babessi has kept the flame of the CPDM burning.

Nganjo inferred that for somebody to entrust the country's finances "in your hands, it means he has confidence in you".

He said this while referring to Moh Sylvester, an elite of Babessi, who is currently serving as the Director General of the Treasury, Financial and Monetary Cooperation, in the Ministry of Finance.

"President Biya has done so much for Babessi. He has given us roads, schools, electricity and water in all villages. He has given the highest confidence to Babessi Subdivision by entrusting the entire money of the country into the hands of our son, Moh Sylvester. With this kind of confidence, we can only but reciprocate our support," Nganjo said.

He argued that: "Most of the other people in the race don't have the experience and wisdom to manage this country. So, we want all the people of Babessi Subdivision to give their votes to Biya, come October 12".

100% victory for Biya

For his part, the CPDM Ngoketundjia III Section President, Chindong David, assured that Babessi is sure of giving President Paul Biya a 100% victory at the October 12 presidential election.

Chindong boasted that the CPDM rally in Babessi wasn't for campaigns, but rather a moment of celebration for the planned victory, which he said Babessi intends giving the CPDM candidate next Sunday.

"Ngoketunjia and Babessi Subdivision in particular has been the bastion of the CPDM in the North West Region. We know the value of our Head of State. Biya is the Fon of Fons. You don't discard the Fon until he disappears. That is why we are saying that with his experience, we will continue to give him that confidence," Chindong said. He then stated that "we will die behind Biya".

Youth to give Biya resounding victory

Taking the cue, the Ngoketunjia III YCPDM Section President, Tatangang Abdelaziz, declared that the youth in Babessi Subdivision are ready to give Paul Biya a resounding victory, come October 12.

Biya wise, energetic for a new mandate

While marketing Biya's candidacy, Prof Uphie Chinje, who is heading the CPDM campaign team in Ngoketunjia, said incumbent Biya is not only wise but energetic enough to take a new mandate and lead Cameroon to greatness.

The former Rector of the University of Ngaoundere, argued that Biya's experience is an assert, which Cameroonians and Ngoketunjia in particular cannot overlook. The University don warned against the risk of voting somebody who hasn't any experience to govern a country as complex as Cameroon.

Responding to those making allusion to President Paul Biya as being old, Prof Uphie Chinje asked the people of Babessi to whom they run to when seeking for advice and the respond was "run to the wise elders".

Prof Chinje, who also served as the Director General of Local Materials Promotion Authority, MIPROMALO, said Paul Biya incarnates the wise elders, urging Cameroonians to take advantage and make use of his rare wisdom.

"I am advising the people of Ngoketunjia against wasting their votes. They should vote for Biya because he has wisdom," she urged.

Prof Chinje added that "the people of Ngoketunjia need to have hope in Biya for him to deliver".

She said: "There are problems everywhere, but in Biya, our problems will be solved. Don't waste your votes. Vote the person who has experience. Biya has experience to govern this country. We all saw him how he arrived Maroua on Tuesday. He was energetic".
