At inauguration of Abong-Mbang Finance Building: MINFI boss says structure will boost performance, service delivery.

The Minister of Finance, MINFI, Louis Paul Motaze, has inaugurated the Finance Building of Abong-Mbang, Upper Nyong Division of the East Region.

This was during a heavily attended ceremony last Thursday.



Speaking at the event, Minister Motaze said the facility will improve the work environment of workers and improve service delivery.  

He said the construction of the building falls in line with the Head of   State’s commitment to modernise public infrastructure and improve public service delivery.

Motaze underscored the need for workers to continue to raise revenue to finance public expenditure, noting that such a task can only best be executed if modern facilities are made available. 

Minister Motaze said President Biya remains determined to continue improving public services and taking administration closer to the population. 

He also expressed delight at the huge support the Head of State enjoys in the Upper Nyong Division and East Region in general. 

With barely days to the presidential election, Minister Motaze urged the people to massively vote President Biya to continue developing the country. 

He thanked traditional rulers of the East Region who conferred a title on him for contributing to the development of the area. 

The MINFI boss promised to ensure the Abong-Mbang Council gets a waste disposal van to beef up sanitation.

Corroborating the minister, the Mayor of Abong-Mbang Council, Oyal Charmant, said the building, clustering different services of the Ministry of Finance brings an end of the stress users used to go through.

He said the building translates into practical reality the vision of the head of state to bring administration closer to the people. Oyal added that the building is also a mark of inclusive and balanced development.

The municipal authority who is also CPDM Section President of Abong-Mbang I assured Minister Motaze that the population will massively vote for the Head of State, Paul Biya, come October 12.

The Minister Public Service and Administrative Reform, Joseph Le, on behalf of elite of the East Region, said the building is a symbol of the nation building.

He noted that the building is a translation into practical terms of proximity and transparency in public finance management under President Biya’s leadership.

Minister Joseph Le said the building will boost public trust in the government. He went on to recount the different development projects realized in the four Divisions of the East Region in recent times. 

The minister mentioned schools, hospitals, tarred roads and water points among others, stating that such have improve the living conditions of the population.

In the meantime, he said more projects in the East Region gave been programmed for execution Le cited; the Batouri-Yokadouma stretch; the Bertoua rail line; the Bertoua airport and upgrading of programmes offered in the University of Bertoua.

 

About building 

Engineers announced during the event that the building was constructed on 183 meters square. 

The structure, it was said, 34 offices with 14 on each floor. They said it is equipped with modern facilities like air conditioning, television sets and wireless communication. 

The structure, officials said, has modern security system with surveillance cameras; a kitchen, eighty toilets and green spaces decorated with flowers.   The 754 million FCFA structure, authorities added, also has a lift exclusively for persons with disabilities. The structure has also been fenced with two entrances.
