National Interpools: NW, SW clubs begin Elite Two promotion race today.

Clubs from the North West and South West regions will begin their quest to secure promotion to the MTN Elite Two championship today.

The race will begin today when the 2025 National Interpool officially kicks off.



The 10-club competition is taking place in Yaounde. It is scheduled to run from today Monday September 1 to 14.

The representative of the South West Region, Kumba City FC is the first to get into action. The South West champions will face their counterpart from the Far North Region, Diamant of Yagoua.

According to the official calendar of the competition published by the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, the match will take place at the FECAFOOT Technical Centre in Odza, Yaounde.

Kumba City FC shall be looking forward to making a winning start in the competition. A win for the South West flagbearers will take the team closer to promotion to the Elite Two Championship.

It is important to mention that Kumba City FC is lodged in pool A of the National Interpool alongside Olympic of Meiganga, Sable of Batie, Diamant of Yagoua of the Far North and the representative of the Centre Region still to be decided.

In the other fixtures in the group, Olympic takes on Sable meanwhile the representative of the Centre Region is on standby on matchday one.

Kumba City FC shoulders great expectations in the competition. The region does not have a club in the Elite championship.

Last season, Isles of Hope Sports Academy, better known as ISOHSA, were relegated to the regional championship from the second division.,

The other club from the Anglophone regions, Dream Team FC of Bamenda from the North West Region will begin their campaign tomorrow, Tuesday September 2. 

Dream Team FC is drawn in pool B. They will face Eperview of Ebolowa from the South Region in their tournament opener. The game will take place at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo.

Ntoung Ngoung of the East Region and Titanic of Douala representing the Littoral Region and the champions of the North Region, Mintack of Septentrion complete the group.

Dream Team FC of Bamenda is keen on securing an Elite Two ticket. If that happens, they would join Bafmeng United Football Academy, BUFA, in the second tier.

It is worth mentioning that the best two teams from the Interpool will gain promotion to the Elite Two next season.
