He described education as a tool that is vital in enhancing the community’s much-desired rapid development agenda.

The Questor at the National Assembly was speaking in Ndop Sunday August 24, 2025.

This was during the final of the Bamunka Peace and Unity tournament, which was organised in the Ndop Central Subdivision.

The tournament was an initiative of the celebrated legislator from the Ngoketunjia North Constituency.

The crowd-pulling competition rounded up with the finals of the football and handball tournaments.

Campaign for peace, dev’t

The Bamunka Peace and Unity Cup was used as a platform for brainstorming on several key issues concerning the population of Bamunka village, the Ndop Central Subdivision and the larger Ngoketunjia Division.

But Hon Dr Njingum Musa’s call for the population of Bamunka to unite, embrace peace and champion the development of their communities particularly attracted the attention of the massive crowd that turned out to witness the grand finale of the sporting fiesta.

The MP in his speech, told the population that he acknowledged the challenges and pains that have been inflicted on them by separatist fighters, resultantly hurting the community’s peacebuilding project and its development effort.

The legislator however urged the population to remain steadfast in pursuing the progress of the community as he leads authorities in finding long-lasting solutions to the obstacles that span across several sectors.

“I know the hardships we have all gone through. I know it is not yet over but I can assure you that not long from now, peace will fully return to this division. With your collaboration of course,” Hon Dr Njingum Musa stated as quoted by the Observer237 news portal.

The MP said he and his partners are notably putting in place measures to ensure that the Bamunka village and the rest of the division are not only safe for economic and social activities but boosts of facilities that promote the general wellbeing of denizens.

The Questor at the National Assembly said his recent move to purchase a new transformer to provide electricity for multiple neighborhoods in Bamunka is one of the strongest demonstrations of the fact that he fully has the people at heart.

The timely intervention, the MP said, came to make life easy for a people who had been left helpless following the destruction of the transformer that previously provided electricity for the localities.

Major road works on the pipeline

Hon Dr Njingum Musa in the course of his one-on-one engagement with the people also promised to deliver some major development projects in the road sector as requested by the population.

The lawmaker made the promise after the population raised concerns about the disturbing state of the road network from Bambili to Kedjom Ketinguh in the Mezam Division to Bamunka village through Bamessing village both in the Ngoketunjia Division.

“I have heard you. It is a situation I have presented to the competent authorities and in the not-too-distant future, the project for the reconstruction of the road will commence,” Hon Dr Njingum Musa said while praising the resilience of the population.

The Bamunka Peace and Unity Tournament came after Hon Dr Njingum Musa held an identical tournament with the same cash prizes and sports disciplines in the Babessi Subdivision which holds four of the eight villages that make up the Ngoketunjia North Constituency.
