Wave appoints Joël Ndjodo as Country Manager to drive expansion in Cameroon.

Wave, the mobile money platform transforming access to financial services across Africa, has appointed Joël Bertrand Ndjodo as its new Country Manager for Cameroon.

His arrival marks a strategic milestone in Wave’s ambition to strengthen its presence in Central Africa and offer simple, affordable, and inclusive financial services to all Cameroonians.

Joël brings over 26 years of leadership experience spanning financial services, telecommunications, energy, and consulting. He previously served as Senior Associate Consultant at Amarante Consulting, a Dubai-based international firm specialising in digital financial services.

Over the course of his career, he has led major initiatives in mobile money, agency banking, digital identity, microfinance, and national financial inclusion strategies across Francophone Africa.

He also held senior roles for more than a decade within multinational telecom companies, where he oversaw commercial and mobile money operations.

In addition, Joël has supported the development of digital capabilities across the continent through training programs with the French Banking Finance Training Institute (BFTI).

His appointment reinforces Wave’s long-term vision for Cameroon: to unlock the full potential of digital financial services and drive greater financial inclusion.

In a market where access to reliable and affordable financial tools remains limited for many, Wave aims to become a trusted partner, empowering individuals, supporting small businesses, and helping build a stronger, more connected economy.
